OCCUPY GOD'S STREET! (OGS)

Across America and around the world restlessness is growing. Under the name of "Occupy Wall Street" (OWS) we're hearing news venues reporting about groups setting up camp in public parks and other locations to demonstrate their opposition to Wall Street, corporations, government and any number of other institutions considered to be antagonistic to what has become known as the 99% of the population. It started as "Occupy Wall Street," but we now have groups from "Occupy Nashville," to "Occupy Oakland," "Occupy Oslo," and dozens of cities across the US and the world.

I am not intending to write this as a contributor to the debate going on, on either side of the fence. I have a different agenda, though I care deeply for people being affected by the economy, high unemployment, and the distress that hangs over the entire world.

I wonder if the folks occupying various cities realize the real enemy isn't Wall Street, corporations, banks, or Capitol Hill... but a culture marred by sin, and driven by demonic forces. The devil is not Republican or Democrat! He is not conservative or liberal! He wants the hearts of people, beyond their political affiliation. The devil doesn't care if you are in the 1% or the 99%! He wants to drive the hearts of people to distrust God, and take things into their own hands! Plenty of wealthy people do that! Plenty of poor people do the same! Plenty of people in the middle, work themselves to death, every single day to accumulate and save money, they will not take to their graves. The Bible says our enemy is way greater than people, corporations, institutions, government or religion (Ephesians 6:12). Here is my point. You could grab every single dollar that currently runs through Wall Street... You could grab all the millions of dollars from banks, wealthy people, corporations... In a massive act of vengeance, if that would be possible, you could take over the control of the world's wealth... (By the way, the idea is being circulated already... A world central bank) Then you could decide to give all the money away to the "99%", provide meals for all the poor people around the world, build up schools and hospitals, provide jobs... At the end of it all... none of it would solve the deeper problem of greed, envy, competitiveness, malicious intentions, cold hearts, vengeance, vanity, superficiality, loneliness, lack of meaning, deceit, betrayal, unloving marriages, broken homes, broken lives, and broken hearts.

Here's a better bet if you want to be a part of something that will last longer than money, government intervention, religion, social justice, and relief from the class warfare going on right now.

Come to God's Street, and meet the One who alone can satisfy your needs and breach the chasm caused by sin. He can heal the wounds of your heart!

And the best news is you don't have to fight another human being, you don't have to go to New York, or any other city to "Occupy God's Street"—you can demonstrate anywhere, by witnessing to others about God's answers to the problem of human pain! You can demonstrate at home, to your spouse, kids, at work, at school, wherever you go... You can stand for the "Occupy God's Street" movement!

I have a passion for God, and His mission. I have a passion for the guy who is 20 and his dad ended up in jail when he was 2. He has never seen his dad out of jail. His mother passed away when he was 14. His brother passed away from a drug over dose. He grew up in foster homes. He now lives in the street. He is looking for work, wants to surrender to to God and be baptized. I am inviting him to come to the "OGS" next Saturday night at 4:30 or 6:30! We can stand together and "Occupy God's Street." God will hear our prayers!

I have a passion for God and the girl who is 18. She was kicked out of her home at age 15 by her mother. She has not done drugs or drank alcohol for a year, and just got her first job at Macy's. Beautiful young lady. She requested baptism last Saturday night. She lives on the street now. I called her last night. She wants to find a room in Pasadena, so she can start a new life with God!

I have a passion for they guy who told me 2 weeks ago, he is sick and tired of his life being a dark hole of addiction, sin, demonic driven habits, money wasted in women and drugs... He said, "I want to life life differently! He is 26! He is a brain, smart, good looking guy! "You belong to God, man!," I said to him! "Stop playing games with God's property!"

I have a passion for the guy that is a phenomenal basketball player. He wants to become a professional player in one of the major teams. That is his dream. He is only 16. Tall and very well built up. He wants to become famous and make lots of money. I listened to him. Then I said, "Do you know God?" "Yeah," he said. "How is your relationship with Him?" He told me a long story of his family, his dad being a former pastor, and the connection with a vicious church that twisted his perception of God. I asked him how long ago was that? He said, "5 years ago." Did anyone from the church ever came to visit you and your family? Did anyone ever called you?" "No, no one!"

Speak up... Tell the world you are a part of "OGS"! Demonstrate! Show up! We need you!

Let the world know what side of the fence you are in!

Tell people God is the answer to ALL the humans dilemmas we face. Nothing else matters. The "law of attraction," human wisdom, beauty, strategies of success, religion, theology, psychology, money making principles, money management, comfort, a long life... you can live to age 100 and not leave a legacy... Everything! Everything is meaningless, unless you are living for God, and you are reaching people for the Kingdom of God. That's all that matters!

Last time I read statistics on human mortality it said, that the probability of you and I dying is 100%! Why not not make this brief life count for eternity? Why not invest your money in the treasure of the preaching of the Gospel? Why not use your times, talents, job, profession, contacts, influence to help people meet the God of salvation? The God who heals the human heart? What I hear from many is this incredible disconnect between what is considered "fun," "enjoying the good life," and God! That tension only develops in the hearts of people who are not committed to God. That is called religion.

Out of 10 slices, called "my life," 9 slices are for me, and the tithe, 1 slice, is for God! That's what religion is all about! Limiting God to one aspect of your life. He is helpless in all the other areas of your life. An authentic relationship with God, calls for a whole commitment to God in everything you do and are! Your entire life is infused with the presence and the power of God. When you commit to God, follow Him, fellowship with Him, love Him, you will have the most fun, your life will be the most fulfilling, and you will be a center of influence for people to understand God!

Join me. Let's 'OCCUPY GOD' STREET"!

Don't have anything to do with the "Harold Campings" in any church, or religious affiliation! It is against God's specific instruction! Date setting, prophetic manipulation, and time of the end anxiety, are born in the hearts of people who do not trust God's Spirit to protect them and lead them. Reading the Bible is good! Praying is good! Reading devotional books is good! Nothing of it matters, though, if it's not translated into loving people, and reaching them for the Kingdom of God! Followers of God will be found participating in a call to invite people to come join them on the "OCCUPY GOD'S STREET" movement!
