Administrators Gail Posted November 10, 2011 Administrators Posted November 10, 2011 While you're at it, Stan, remember, "Passchendaele" (I keep wanting him to see this Canadian war movie which was REALLY REALLY good!) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Gail Posted November 10, 2011 Administrators Posted November 10, 2011 It would be interesting to read some war stories about vets that we know. Surely there are still many members here who have veterans in their families... Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Dottie Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 My dad was a vet, but he didn't see any action. He was stationed in England, and the night before his unit went out, he was called in and told he was to pack and go home right away. He later got an honorable discharge, but it was because of a disability. Quote
Dottie Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 He liked it in England. He came home with a picture of a milkmaid. He was only interested in the way she milked the cow; he didn't even notice if she was cute or not. Yes, really! You would believe me if you knew my dad. Quote

BobRyan Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Amen and amen. And for all the parents that lost sons and daughters in war.... amen. Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." COL 316.
