Moderators John317 Posted November 10, 2011 Moderators Posted November 10, 2011 I'd vote for Newt in a heart-beat. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Guest Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 But then I'd vote for porky pig if he wins the nomination. Quote
Members phkrause Posted November 11, 2011 Author Members Posted November 11, 2011 I've always liked Newt, because he is one of the few that works together with Democrats. But that was back a few years. Don't agree with him all the time. My brother doesn't like him at all. Woody Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I'd vote for Newt in a heart-beat. I agree. He is the most experienced. And I like his spirit. He will knock some heads around and get something DONE. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Shane Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I will vote for Newt if it comes down to that but he certainly isn't the best the Republicans have to offer. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Woody Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Quote: I've always liked Newt, because he is one of the few that works together with Democrats. This is why Obama is the absolute worse choice. He has not been willing to work with or compromise with the Republicans. He has done nothing except damage. He is not a leader. Newt on the other hand is a proven leader. He will get something done. Members abelisle Posted December 13, 2011 Members Posted December 13, 2011 I find it interesting that such staunch Adventists as yourselves don't take his moral character into account? Anyone but Mitt and especially anyone but Obama? Hmm . . . what does the Bible/EGW say about leadership and personal integrity? Dr. Shane Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I agree that character matters. In fact, that is why I voted for Obama against McCain. However character can't be all that matters. At some point we have to consider competence. If was choosing a school to send my children to and one was headed by a scoundrel and the other headed by a honorable member of the community, I would certainly favor sending my children to the school led by the honorable person. However if I discovered that most graduating from his school were failing their college entrance exams while those graduating from the scoundrel's school were passing the exams with flying colors, I would seriously have to consider sending my children to the scoundrel's school. In the next general election we will be given a choice between Obama, who has shown himself incompetent (although of honorable character) and someone else. I hope that is someone else of honorable character like Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, John Huntsman or Michelle Bachmann. But in the event that it is Newt Gingrich, I am going to have to choose the scoundrel. Obama is not up to the job. He cannot get anything done unless everyone agrees with him and even when his party controlled Congress he couldn't get everything he wanted. He is an utter failure and it is time we move on and give someone else a chance. People are losing their jobs, their homes and their careers. The whole nation is suffering and Obama isn't up to the task of helping it recover. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Members phkrause Posted December 15, 2011 Author Members Posted December 15, 2011 Doesn't suprise me in the least. I had read somewhere, don't remember where, that if he kept up being so cocky he would start the downward spiral. I believe he actually became a felon after he got in office. But everyone knew of all is affairs with different women before the vote. It was obvious what kind of character or lack of - that he had.
