Ron du Preez on the Feasts (Video)

Question for Mods: Why is it that YouTube "embed code" does not work? I remember I used to be able to embed youtube videos in here, but the youtube code does not work.

Here is an outstanding 2-hour video program from 3abn where Dr. Ron du Preez, ThD (in theological ethics) DMin (in missions), and soon to be PhD (in New Testament studies) does an outstanding job at demonstrating why none of the Feasts are binding in the New Testament.

If you want to jump right to the heart of it, just click this video and it will start from the 16:46min. mark:

Ron du Preez on the Sacred Seasons (2 hours):

But, if you want to watch the whole thing, including his testimony of his life experience, start from the beginning, but feel free to skip over the special music.

This program on 3abn was done in 2009. Since then, Mr. Preez has written a book that is now just being published, "Feast-Keeping and the Faithful". It is the most thorough volume ever produced on Feast Keeping----Ron du Preez spent a lot of time worshiping with feast keepers, and has read their books, watched their DVDs, and is well-familiar with virtually all their arguments.

Enjoy!

Lysimachus,

I'm not crazy for videos as my kbps is not fast enough, I wonder if he gives the Bible texts he bases his opinion on. I know the SDA church holds they are not binding but none has every given me any Bible. The present Pastor of the church here gave a non SDA neighbor his thesis on it and I read it and I didn't see anything in it to settle me on it.

On another note I would rather do feast of tabernacles than the worlds thanksgiving and Christmas holiday that is mostly for commercialism.

If you tell me he does and it sounds like you have watched it all I will push the button down to the nitty gritty point you have stated and keep it on pause till it gets far enough ahead I can see it.

Preez did not give any thing solid to stand on. The feasts of the Lord are His holidays for us, we have created our own instead, rebellion. It looks from what I find in reading Zech. a chapter of the earth made new that the feast of tabernacles is enforced.

Zec 14:16 ¶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Zec 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

When you go to Preez's video type in feasts of the Lord and watch some short ones which give you some scripture and true logic. Preez goes on for well over an hour and really nothing.

I am not of the opinion that those were nailed to the cross as the cross only done away with those things that pointed to that fulfilling one, Christ kept the passover and so do most today. Is this a thing we just pick and choose what we want and down with the rest. I think not.

Man likes to put God away from himself as much as possible and the feasts bring Him into rememberance too much.

If any have anything solid on it bring it out here, I would like to see it, not great long videos that wind on and on and little or nothing, please.

For a short study on the feasts do this first url,

http://www.bogritz.com/whykeepthefeast.htm

Then for a true in depth study and it will take a few minutes but no grueling hours do this one,

http://www.truthontheweb.org/whyfeast.htm

People fight like tigers against keeping the Holy Sabbath and people fight like tigers almost the same about the feasts of the Lord. Let's learn the truth, do those two studies above.

Gibs,

You are confusing types with antitypes. Those prophecies in Zechariah will not be realized typically anymore. John the Revelator has lifted up many of the Old Testament conditional type prophecies, and redefined them in their unconditional antitypical light in Jesus Christ, His heavenly sanctuary, and His saints.

Those prophecies in Zechariah will not happen anymore in the manner that they are described. They are realized in Christ, spiritually.

To continue keeping the feasts is an insult to Jehovah. He proved unequivocally and exegetically that there must be sacrifices and a sanctuary to go along with the feasts.

Du Preez has nailed the last nail in the coffin with the feast keeping arguments. His new book is a large volume that deals with every argument on feast keeping.

We don't have time to waste. It's time to unite! No longer can we afford to keep arguing about this topic, and it is our deepest prayer that the feast keepers will cease their obsessions with carnal rites and join the Lord's ranks in the closing scenes of this earth's history.

Sabbath keeping Christians, without the keeping of the feasts, are already nailed hard by the Evangelicals for being "legalists" AS IS!!!

We are ALREADY considered LEGALISTS and WORKS oriented with JUST Sabbath keeping. And the feast keepers think that they, in a million years, are going to have ANY chance in winning the evangelicals?

If the Sunday keeping Evangelicals see Adventism start to keep the feasts, they will faint, and say "we knew they were legalists all along...here they were bad enough, now they've REALLY gone berserk!"

The work will never get finished through feast keeping. It is, and will only serve as a hindrance.
