Moderators lazarus Posted November 25, 2011 Moderators Posted November 25, 2011 He's is going, you're right. Come on Cain has shown he's not ready. He's got some stuff to take care of. He'd be a great candidate for 2016, against Romney! Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
olger Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Cain brings a straightforward businessman's experience to the table. I could care less about our foreign policy to retired parsley farmers in the backwoods of Bolivia. That can all be hired/appointed in others, but character cannot be farmed out. You either have it or you don't. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Dr. Shane Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 The problem with electing someone without any political experience is that they don't know how to get legislation passed. Getting things done means knowing how to compromise. Without compromise we get someone like Obama who cannot accomplish anything unless everyone agrees with him. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... olger Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Obama is a great example...of what not to do. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Moderators lazarus Posted November 28, 2011 Moderators Posted November 28, 2011 but character cannot be farmed out. You either have it or you don't. The primary reason why Cain is tanking is not about foreign policy but his character. The underlying suspicion is that Cain does not have the character that is necessary to lead the country with integrity. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. bonnie Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Obama had the same problem and still does. Yet HE was elected. Anyone that listened to Obama during the campaign and then voted for him approved and championed "his character". Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. Moderators lazarus Posted November 29, 2011 Moderators Posted November 29, 2011 Obama had the same problem and still does. Yet HE was elected. Obama didn't have 4/5 allegations of inappropriate relationships. He didn't have one. There were NO questions about his moral character. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
Woody Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 There have been SO many questions about his character that it is not funny. Granted - he does not have the same baggage as Cain. But personally I think it to be worse. Just look at the church and people he surrounded himself with. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Moderators lazarus Posted November 29, 2011 Moderators Posted November 29, 2011 We could start with his associations he had starting with his pastor Wright. If you choose a pastor with the hate mentality of Wright, claim him as your spiritual mentor it says a lot about your character as well. When you dump your spiritual mentor after 20 years and claim you didn't have a clue what he preached and taught, you are either ignorant or a liar. I don't think he was ignorant of what his "spiritual mentor" taught Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make.
