Dr. Shane Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 All Bachmann knows how to do is yell and scream. She is a total and complete failure. Everything she has ever fought against has passed and nothing she has ever fought for has become law. If elected, she will refuse to compromise which, as Obama has demonstrated, gets nothing done. There are those that have certain convictions that are not up for compromise.Others worship at the altar of compromise Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. bonnie Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Those that cannot compromise should go into the ministry and stay clear of politics. Maybe they have not read your expert playbook. There are times in any area you can find compromise. When you feel something is dead wrong and is detremental, either personal, religious or political life you have no business in the touchy-feely world of compromise. Obama has done quite well refusing to compromise. He has almost everything he aimed for. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. bonnie Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Name me one thing he has gotten since he lost his majority in Congress. I didn't say since he lost congress, although his senate doesn't seem to be all gung ho for their fearless leader. He jammed thru his most important issue. One that will be tough no matter who is president to get rid off.Seems to have done alright blocking the Keystone pipeline. Then let's not forget his executive orders and the promise of more.Few more entitlements and he will probably be president again. If I remember right Reagan tried the "holy grail of compromise" with tax hikes and tax cuts. Promised by those yelling compromise of course were never intended to materialize. We have two opposing parties of government for a reason. If someone has strong convictions on a issue and caves to public pressure to compromise,it is a little easier to take the next step of compromise and then the next.Pretty soon you are someone with words and your convictions are meaningless. If you firmly believe raising taxes is wrong, how about a little bit now, that shouldn't be to bad.Next year when we have run out of money again, well just a little bit more.Never occurs to democrats and some republicans to put a lid on all unnecessary spending.Just get a CC with a higher limit. Dr. Shane Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I didn't say since he lost congress What you said was that not compromising has worked well for Obama in that he has gotten everything he wanted. Of course he didn't have to compromise when he controlled Congress. That goes without saying. Show me what he has gotten (without compromise) since Republicans won the House. Or are you willing to admit that without compromise a politician cannot be successful? Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

bonnie Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Lots of words but nothing convincing. How do you think we got to where we are today? Hardly because of responsible people in Washington holding a firm line on their promises/convictions. Many of you want bigger and bigger government so why aren't you happy with Obama?
