It's always been that way, and it does not change God. I would consider that anyone who thinks they are saved without any answer from God, is especially susceptible to ending up like this guy. The people who leave my church, almost never decide there is no God, because they have evidence that there is. Quote

But you jumped out of the pan and into the skillet. God is real and perhaps you could find this IF you were sincere in your search for the real truth. All of the man made religions of this world are of Satan, including the one invented by the author of Romans. Jesus Christ never came (born) to this world to start any new religion. What He said as found in John 18:37 is important, but ONLY for those who are OF the truth and want to know the real truth. Quote

After we chase the rabbit down this hole of darkness whats next? Maybe a look at the benefits of Buddhism? A closer look at Islam? Some might want to explore Catholicism or Scientology. Or any number of other religions, there is no end to the books, videos, movies, false gods and other things to occupy the mind. To what end? Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and then you will have understanding. How sad that folks have to spend their life looking, exploring, trying to learn and it's right there in front of them. Try this,,, "Be still", quit running to and fro and trying to figure it all out. There is only one God. Quote

Satan ceased to be the illuminated one when he went in rebellion to God. But, man is no match for his deceptions and cunning wisdom when Christ is put out. It is a sad story and many get caught up in the same web. Our only safety is keeping Jesus Christ within every moment from here on out, in other words keep your lamps filled with His Spirit. Dr. Rich Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 No, I did not see where he got caught up in Satan's trap as you suggest. What he was told by those over him was that he must believe by "faith" and to not ask questions. This is what I have heard many other pastors say about their employers. "Don't ask questions, just do as you are told to do." The majority of people on this earth believe what they do because of 'faith'. They have been told not to ask questions because the real truth can't be known just as all of you probably believe that no one will ever know when and how Jesus wil come again. I did what he did on this same thing, but kept praying for God to give me knowledge AND wisdom to understand that knowledge. It does not happen fast or over night as when I aske this was way back in the early 80's and I am still learing new things every day about how salvation works. Rev. 1:1 is quite clear that the Father told His Son when and how He was going to come, both like a thief before the time of trouble and also at the end when He comes in the clouds. Heck, most people don't even know this simple truth, thinking that Jesus will come as a thief and in the clouds all at the same time. See what I mean? Most people also don't understand the truth regarding Creation, taking by faith and words of others what they believe by faith. Most think that Adam was created in the 6-day creation, not understanding that this was impossible. They don't take the time to seriously research this issue and find that the 6 day creations took place thousands of years before Adam--and why. And most people have never found KEY texts in the words of Jesus given to us by His eyewitnesses to proove beyound all doubt that Jesus was telling the truth. Key texts like Matt. 24:4 as an answer to a question about the end of the world show that only God's Son would ever say such a thing, knowing in advance that people who never met Jesus would come in His name saying things and writing them down so they would be placed in the NT in order to cause confusion and 'scatter' people into believing all sorts of things that were not true and could not be found to be true by using the words of Jesus Christ. (Matt. 12:30-32) Interestingly, the more one learns of the truth, the less faith they will actually have. Jesus didn't need faith while on this earth and neither will anyone ever need faith in heaven. Why? Because they will KNOW the truth. Quote
