Stapf, 74, of Cedar Hill, Texas, formerly of Waterford, died Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2011) at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She was born Oct. 3, 1937, in Waterford, daughter of Oris C. and Dorothy R. Reed Hinton. She graduated from Waterford High School and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Marietta. She was married Feb. 14, 1969, to Martin Ross Stapf Jr. who died Oct. 19, 2006. She is survived by a son, Ross Martin Stapf and wife Brandy of Cedar Hill, Texas; three stepchildren, Myron Stapf of Petoskey, Mich., Cindy Crumbaugh and husband Dave of Alabama and Maria Brock and husband Jim of Ore.; nine grandchildren, Nia, Niccolas, Alisha, Joshua, Erica, Randy, Jennifer, Tiffany and Scott; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Hinton of Danville, Kan., Leonard Hinton and wife Gale of Beverly, and Glenn Hinton and wife Jerri of Waterford. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Maxine Hoover. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday (Dec. 21, 2011) at McCurdy Funeral Home.
