This is a core SDA claim that the Bible does not support at all. They ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Before that, how could they know the law, when they didn't even know what evil was ?

This reply is in response to the question above that you posted in 1001 Spirit of Prophecy Quotes.

Please notice the logical progression of the following statements which are based on Biblical facts. I will not provide the scriptures.

This is the "unabridged version". I am sure that the following can be "distilled". I tried to not leave any "gaps" for you.

I am sure that since you are a computer whizzy you can sleuth out the appropriate supportive Bible verses and follow the logic with a little thought.

1. Adam and Eve were created in the very image of God.

2. Adam and Eve were perfect before the fall.

3. Adam and Eve had the perfect character of God.

4. The Law of God is a transcript of God's character.

5. God is love.

6. Adam and Eve loved one another and they loved God before the fall.

7. The Law of God, i.e. the character of God, is written on the hearts of those that love God.

8. It is the Holy Spirit that recreates the character of God in the heart of man.

9. The whole purpose of Salvation is to recreate the perfect character of God in man.

10. The Children of God love God with all their hearts and they love others as themselves.

11. Jesus Christ is the “Second Adam”.

12. Jesus Christ kept the Law of God perfectly.

13. Jesus Christ had the Law of God written in his heart by the Holy Spirit.

14. Jesus Christ had the exact same character as Adam before the fall, by the grace of God, even though Christ bodily had the effects of 4000 years of sin upon humanity.

15. The redeemed will have the perfect character of Christ at His second coming.

16. The redeemed will have the perfect Law of God written in their hearts at the second coming.

17. Earth will be made new.

18. Eden will be restored with the Tree of Life.

19. Earth will be populated by the redeemed that have the Law of God written on their hearts.

20. Adam and Eve will be present in the New Earth.

21. We will be like Adam and Eve in character.

22. All the redeemed will be exactly like Jesus Christ in character.

23. Jesus Christ will have the Law of God written on His heart in the New Earth.

24. The redeemed will have the Law of God written on their hearts in the New Earth.

25. The image of God has been restored in man.

26. Earth and all creation have been restored perfectly to the exact same condition as it was before the fall.

27. The Love of God will once again fill the entire universe just like it did before Satan rebelled.

28. Therefore Adam and Eve had the Law of God written on their hearts because they lived in perfect harmony with God and His Law before the fall.
