I especially liked her use of Ex 20:11 and point on Sunday's lesson stating that there is no way to marry the Bible to evolution. They go right to Ellen White. They cannot make their points using the Bible and the Bible only as their rule of faith. If they could Ellen White would be extremely rare and the Bible and the Bible only prolifically used. However this is clearly not the case. The pull among SDA Church .org is soooooooooooooooooooo strong that it is just "automatic" that one reaches for an Ellen White quote rather than reach for the Bible and the Bible only. This is an amazing example of SDA Church .org typical behavior and response. Quote

A look at the SDA Lesson Book will bear out this FACT. Also Ellen White is used in these Sabbath School Lessons to be the "clinching" point on what the Truth is and what the Bible means when the Bible speaks. Thus, this evidence makes clear what SDA Church .org hates to admit and won't that Ellen White is superior to the Bible and the Bible only. SDA have sooooo fooled themselves that they do not recognize the disease with which they are afflicted. Quote

But the church IS comprised of both libs and cons. So, we have to be able to bring together both of them. Thus, the SS lessons usually do try to accommodate the cons. This is often done by having Friday be Ellen White day with most of the quotes from her coming on that day. I haven't received the current lesson study so can't tell you if that was done this quarter. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won.
