The problem with Tim Tebow

I don't know about that, I guess it depends on what you mean by 'some people'. I think that if 'Christians' put God's credibility on the line for a game, that speaks volumes about their faith-or lack there of. I haven't heard to much about that.

Listening to sports talk radio, especially out of Chicago, it gives them an opportunity to bash Christians, and they take such delight in doing so. It seems to me that it gives people more opportunity to make fun of peoples faith in God.

Is that bad, or a problem? No, I don't believe it is. I believe that it is giving us the chance to talk about our faith. To let our light shine and not to hide it under a bushel.

I don't follow football as much as I used to. I've noticed the whole Tebow phenomena from a distance. I watched a good bit of the game last night. From what I saw Tim Tebow's problem is he is not a very accurate quarterback when it comes to throwing the football.

I do disagree Kountzer, have been following his games only because of the sportscaster and experts not giving him a chance, saying he can't make it. He's a lot better than quite a few other QBs that I've seen through the years. He did have a bad game last night, but than who wouldn't against the Pats.

Is it possible that Tebow has tied the teams success to God and so that is why the public has done that?

I have no problem with that, what bothers me is no one says anything about all the other players, when being interviewed at the end of games, that there every 2nd or 3rd word is Jesus this or that. I have no problem with that either. As a Christian we should carry that with us. He still gives credit to God for giving him the strength to endure loses too, that's what I admire about him. You play to the best of your abilities and what happens happens.

If you've ever watched a Tim Tebow post-game interview he ties the Bronco wins to teamwork on the part of all members of the team, his team mates belief in, and adherence to, the coach's game plan, and their belief that somehow, someway, they are going to win.

He is the most unselfish professional athlete I've ever seen.
