I do find it a bit rich that Newt, who has made a career of challenging and impugning the character of others, is *outraged* when asked about his own character.

If he was saying 'I did wrong, I've asked forgiveness from God and my wife and by the grace of God I won't do it again', I'd find that a lot more impressive to support the position of forgiveness held by some here.

As it is, I'm not seeing the evidence that he's a changed man from the first and second times he cheated on ailing wives...

Still, many right-wing conservatives want to play the role of the victim.

Gingrich Not Correct

What great symmetry we have here. Gingrich is engaged in a he-said, she-said spat with his ex-wife and a broadcast network.

The article is saying that "an absolute article of faith on the right" is that "the liberal media is out to get Republicans."

The statement is talking about what Republicans believe. It is not talking about whether or not the media is actually out to get Republicans.

The media is out to make money. News networks are in business to make money. That is what they are all about. Some have liberal bias and some have conservative bias but everyone of them is out to make money.
