Personally I don't care what they give or don't give. Its do they pay there taxes!!! And it seems they do. And of course if you give donations you also get to deduct them from your taxes? Correct?

Yes, charitable contributions are deducted from the income that a person is taxed on. The reason Romney paid less than 15% taxes is because of the charitable contributions he gave.

Charitable contributions do matter to me. I think it speaks a lot to the character of the person. Especially when the person starts talking about taking care of the poor with government programs and yet isn't even giving 10% of his or her income to charity. That tells me the person really isn't sincerely concerned about helping the poor.

I didn't mean it the way it sounds. My point was that what they give is there business not mine or yours, or any ones for that matter. All need to pay there fair share of taxes. But I do agree that how we give to charities goes to are character.
