Is society getting worse or are more crimes being reported?

I am not going to link the story, but I read something that literally made me sick to the stomach. A school teacher in Los Angeles is accused of doing really horrible things to his students.

Is society getting worse (as many Adventists believe) or are people always sick and disgusting? Some of the stuff I hear just blows my mind how someone could even think of doing that.

Probably a measure of both, although I would have to admit, reporting everything bad has always been a weakness of man. At one time, actually up to just a short time ago, I thought nothing divulged more heinous behavior than Nazi Germany's atrocities against the Jews and others during the second World War. Then it was divulged to me that a short time earlier, about 1932-1935, there were around 8,000,000 Polish people exterminated by murder.

And even that wasn't as horrific as the history of 25% of the world's population being murdered.

Getting worse, but not as bad as it will be when the tribulation starts around the spring equinox of 2016.

I'm telling you now, it can be seen around the corner and the roar that we have seen nothing yet. Police and Sherif departments will be overwhelmed and beaten by gangs with much more fire power than they have. It is migrating into this country fast and powerful gangs are now existent and many, many more are coming on.

Times unimaginable are soon to break upon us. I care not to go further.

Crime statistics are actually going down, consistently, in all Western countries. This is entirely a matter of perception.
