Another phrasing gaffe, like 'I like firing people'. Probably taken out of context, but a serious contender ought to be speaking more carefully.

Perhaps his wording could have been better but really... when the press is following a person around and even listening to restroom noises, who among us isn't going to say something that couldn't be worded a bit better. His point is very valid. The poor are taken care of in the country with a safety net. Food stamps prevents poor people from dying of hunger. Medical assistance provides them healthcare. Heating assistance makes sure none of them freeze to death in the winter. The focus of the President needs to be on getting the middle class back to work.
