norfoith Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Hi, It is almost the Sabbath where I am (Australia) and I was wondering if anyone has suggestion for a good Bible reading for someone whose Bible is well...rather dusty. Where should I start? Quote
Woody Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Starting with the Gospels is always cool. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 and super question by the way. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
LifeHiscost Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 When I started reading the Scriptures as a new convert, it was the book of John, of the four gospels, that I found so good at revealing to me all the characteristics of the Man, the Savior of my soul and the Comforter, even though that is the title to the third member of the Godhead. This might be the most pertinent counsel for our walk with God. "But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul." Deuteronomy 4:29 NASB "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart."Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Members phkrause Posted February 3, 2012 Members Posted February 3, 2012 norfoith, I like starting from the beginning. I have been told by a number of people to start with the gospels, but for me being of Jewish descent, I enjoy the beginnings. To see where we came from and follow it through. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
