Administrators Naomi Posted February 3, 2012 Administrators Posted February 3, 2012 Tale of Two Men As residents come into pay their utility bills I watch then, their attitudes, etc. I try to find something to make them smile or at least not be unhappy about paying their bills. I just had two gentlemen come in, one after the other. The first man is someplace in his early 60ties. A nice looking, well dressed gentleman. He is always unhappy and angry about a motorcycle accident that took the use of one leg. He has to walk with a cane. Today as I was trying to lighten his mood, I said “Every day above ground is a good day” He said, If there was a God he would not leave me here. This life is Hell on earth. {nothing new in this man's attitude} The second man came in. He is 84. He has a daughter living with him. She is into some unhealthy habits. He pays the bills for daughter and granddaughter. He is always laughing when he comes in and tells me he is here to pay his alimony. I usually say something like, well that is a really rotten alimony check I'm taking you to court. We laugh, he gives me a and leaves whistling. I wonder how people see me when I go to do my business. As gentleman #1 or #2. I think Jesus would want me to leave them smiling. What do you think? Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
