Woody Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 As many of you don't frequent the politics forum - I thought I would repost this in TownHall as I thought it was interesting. Just don't talk politics or the police will come and knock you around: The Jewish and SDA vote apparently went heavily for Ron Paul. I was surprised about this. But also was pleased to hear that they held a special non-Sabbath hours caucus for our church. Praise God our people were able to vote last night. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Gibs Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I wonder if they weren't Messianic Jews. They are a different people than most in Israel from what I've found. Most of them from what I've seen of them are not for what Israel is but some may differ with that but each to his own. It's not religious so it should be OK here Woody. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Last was a senior orthodox rabbi, complete with hat and beard, who thanked the GOP for the post-sundown caucus: "I didn't realize there were so many orthodox Jews and Seventh-Day Adventists in Las Vegas!" he said. The night caucus was supposed to be only for observers of a Saturday Sabbath, and attendees were required to sign a form swearing that they were "precluded from participating" in the morning caucus "because of my religious beliefs." http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/arch...my-wins/252583/ Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 You're welcome Doug. I was wondering though if any got hung up with the fact that they had to swear. I know some SDAs who don't feel comfortable with swearing. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted February 5, 2012 Author Posted February 5, 2012 Yes Woody, according to Fox News - some objected to swearing on the document. It offended them to have to do that. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
