Did Adam "LOVE" Eve?

If you believe that Adam "LOVED" Eve then where did this "LOVE" come from?

A very interesting question miz3. I think for me, I believe that this was part of our fabric, or at least with A&E when they were first created. Like built into us with the law of God, the 10 commandments, but than sin entered. I wonder if we are still born with that nature to love in us? It just needs to be cultivated by our parents or whoever is bringing us up. And also maybe and probably the HS has much to do with this. Just my thoughts/opinion on this. Not sure if the Bible goes into this at all or even EGW for that matter. Hopefully others might have some other insight.

Then why didn't Cain love Able? Does your dog or cat love you--or do they just tolorate you because you feed it?

Tribes could ask your wife the same question: "Does your husband love you or does he just tolerate you because you feed him?"

The song says, "We love Him because He first loved us", is this really true? And is it really true that "Jesus loves you this I know, for the bible tells me so"?

What about Rev. 3:9 "...behold I will make them to come and bow down at your feet, and to know that I have loved you." Haven't we been taught that Jesus loves everyone?

The proof is in the pudding. Adam Loved Eve so much that he too became disobedient to be with her.

It might appear he loved Eve above God since she was from his body. He no doubt had a very hard choice to make and for us it appears he made the wrong choice as there would have been redemption for Eve. Yes Jesus would have died for just one.

Would God allowed them then to have children? Who knows, I don't know that that has been revealed.

She would have died and God could easily produce a mate for Adam as far as that goes.

Was it "love" or "lust"?

Miz3,

At that early date I don't believe it was lust. She was "his other half" and I don't doubt that he loved God supremely. The point I see is that he knew Eve would die, he too chose to die with her.

Was it predestination? I don't think so as it was the test they needed to pass for a time that they would of their own free will obey Him over all things. It happened Eve was beguiled, seduced by the slick operator Satan the one next to Christ in wisdom and understanding and his cunning was overwhelming and she fell to it.

I will not in the slightest lean to predestination. You might be surprised how many Christians today are.

Is true "love" ever disobedient to God?

Hmmm, good question! 1Cor. 13:4 "..Love is kind, and is not jealous.."

Verses Ex. 20:5 "...for I, the Lord you God am a jealous God..." And just look what God will do to those who hate Him verses:

And 1Cor. 13:5 "...[Love] does not take into account a wrong suffered...

1Cor. 13:7 "And [love] bears all things and believes all things"????

So it appears that Paul didn't think that God was love at all!

Where in the Bible does it say that the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was a test?

Where in the Bible does it say that the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was a test?

"16 ¶ And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof *thou shalt surely die."(Gen 2:16-17)

"9 ¶ And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

11 ¶ And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?"(Gen 3:9-11)

Methinks Adam and Eve for all intents and purposes failed the test of loyalty to God and God's direct command. . . "thou shalt not eat of it."

These texts do not say this was a test. Where does it say that this was a test? I do not believe this can be found in the Bible.

Ellen White says this was a test but the Bible does not say that this was a test.

For the reason Miz3 that the angels in Heaven are no longer tempted by Satan and his. When it is seen those who would not fall to it Satan was dispelled from Heaven. Satan no doubt would have been disolved by God then but Adam and Eve fell to him, Now he is allowed to live on to show where the depths of sin and rebellion would go.

We are about there now and after it is over Satan is imprisoned for a thousand years and then he is completly disolved. There will then be no temptation. It is an understanding of God that He is righteous that we can know temptation is temporary.

Yahweh is making it that sin will not rise up again,

Na 1:9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

The FACT is that the Bible does not say that Adam and Eve were tested. The Bible also does not say that the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was a test of "loyalty" and/or a test of "obedience" and/or a test of anything.

If I am wrong please show me from the Bible and the Bible only where it says that this was a test and that it was a test of "loyalty" and/or "obedience".

Miz,

It's a matter of reasoning. Heaven no more after this is over is a place of being tempted. We are going to be in heaven, do you want satan and his angels there to work at tripping you up for eternity. How would it then be a place of peace and tranquility?

My reasoning tells me Satan would have be long gone ere now but for Adam and Eve falling to him.

Human reasoning is NOT TRUTH. It is just human reasoning which is subject to being dead wrong.

The Bible FACT is Truth. The Bible is the Word of God.

Thus, I cannot accept your human reasoning as being correct.

Unless the Bible says so as FACT I cannot accept that the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was/is a test of loyalty and/or obedience.

In other words, you just don't know.

Jesus Christ always gave a truthful Biblical answer to the questions.

It appears that you have no answer from the Bible, just theories which don't stand up to the Bible.
