tribeofjudah Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I know, I know.....it's not part of the 10 written on stone. Some people "re-gift" .......BUT you should not regift to God...!!! 2Sa 24:23 I will give it all to you, Your Majesty, and may the LORD your God accept your sacrifice." 2Sa 24:24 But the king replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on buying it, for I will not present burnt offerings to the LORD my God that have cost me nothing." So David paid him fifty pieces of silver [fn] for the threshing floor and the oxen. Quote

Administrators Gail Posted February 20, 2012 Administrators Posted February 20, 2012 What I understood in the OP, is that we should not be afraid to give our BEST, even sacrificially, to the Lord. That could even extend to those around us, instead of cleaning out the closet and giving out those things that are outdated or that you don't need anyway. My first reaction was Yes, Yes. Second: But, please, not my new fur jacket that Ol' Santa just brought me. Is this one of those gray areas ... can we pick and choose? Or, do we determine by the needs and circumstances Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
