LYNDHURST — Herbert Lee Lotts, 84, passed away on Feb. 21, 2012, at his residence.

Born Jan. 19, 1928, in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late Edward Franklin Lotts and Mary Ida Benson Lotts.

Mr. Lotts was a member of Waynesboro Seventh Day Adventist Church and had previously served as a deacon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Finley, Berry, Jim, Harry and baby brother, Roy; two sisters, Frances Strickler Farley and Betty Mae Shaw; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind his faithful and loving wife, Mildred Hayes Lotts; three loving daughters, Sharon Wiseman and husband, Steve, Teresa Rowe and husband, Mike, and Lisa Rosen and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Connie Bruns, Michael Corbin, Justin Rowe, Laura Rowe and Lochlin Rosen; great-grandchildren, Jonathon Corbin, Schuyler Rowe, Jeremiah Rowe and Jeffrey White III; one sister, Dorothy Virginia Huffman and husband, Lewis H. Huffman.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., with Pastor Will Johns officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. today, Feb. 23, 2012, at the funeral home.
