If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Woody Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 well Pam. I guess you have a few options here. You can take it up with Administration You can leave if you are not comfortable with their decision regarding their forum. Or you can stay here unhappy. Or perhaps you could even choose to see the brighter side of things. May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Moderators Bravus Posted March 8, 2012 Moderators Posted March 8, 2012 Only Woody can answer this for sure, but I did not have 'penis' anywhere near my mind at all in any of the discussion. I did not read it as cheeky, risque, edgy, rude, or even humor: I read it as talking about food. Maybe my reading of it was naive, and it was intended as double entendre. But, here's a thought: maybe your mind projected something into it that wasn't in the mind of the participants. Mightn't it be better to *ask*, rather than to assume? Truth is important
Woody Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Bravus - I DO have to wonder about someone's mind - if they see inappropriate sexual intent in what is clearly not meant in that way. I refer to my foods being naked frequently. I don't happen to use salad dressing on my salad. When I order salad at a restaurant I ask for my salad naked. I've done this for years. I would never consider it inappropriate. And in all the years of ordering - no one has taken it to be inappropriate. I use this description on most all foods to refer to it as being without anything added. To think that someone would consider it inappropriate would never have entered my mind. Hey folks - it's just food. My goodness. But as I mentioned - if one thinks it is inappropriate - the appropriate path is to take it to Admin. But then as you mentioned - the best option prior to it reaching this level - would have been the Christian thing which would be to privately approach the one whom you feel has offended one's sensibilities. That being said let me submit what Mr. Webster has to say on the issue regarding the word "naked" : Quote: "bare of any covering, overlying matter, vegetation, foliage, or the like: naked fields." I fail to see any sexual intent in that definition by Mr. Webster. May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN. I did not mention any names....was the shoe pinching too tightly? Furthermore, sir, you have blocked me from contacting you. Have a nice life.
