I don't see why one shouldn't celebrate the annunciation if they celebrate Christmas. We all know that Christmas is not dated accurately, but that's not really the point.

The words spoken by the angel Gabriel to St Mary, mother of Gd...

Lu 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, [thou that art] highly favoured, the Lord [is] with thee: blessed [art] thou among women.

are almost identical and track those which honored the Seventh Day of Genesis and Exodus;

Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it:

Ex 20:11 wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

therefore,

Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

...why not honor (that is the operative word, is it not) the ‘Annunciation’? One does not necessarily ‘keep’ a day by reflecting upon that which a day honors.

Job, whom Gd called perfect and upright - noted his son's birthdays. The day upon which the angel Gabriel spoke to St Mary concerning the special work of the Holy Ghost Gd (Matt 1:18,20; Lu 1:35) is certainly more significant than a birthday, yes? Yet, we go to extremes to honor ourselves on our birthdays...

No big deal. Just remind ourselves of the manner by which Gd honored St Mary. Mebbe, one might then dwell upon the event more often than not...

So, what then say you re the prophetic passage of Psalms 45 6-9? Specifically, re the “Queen” of verse 9? Who might that have been foretelling?

Perhaps, the Queen Mother?—or loosely, Queen of Heaven?

‘Bear in mind that in the OT, it is the King’s mother who usually bore the title Queen, as the King usually had more than one wife and often many more. So, the honorific “Queen” would formally signify the mother or the sometimes Regent who was also the mother functioning in place of the King.’

Stan,

The Christian thing is to follow Christ and Him Only, none other will I serve. Too much has come in and made kosher and should have been stopped years ago. No one had the stamina to stand up and be counted for the right.

Well here is one who will and have for many years, we want this back on track, the true way of Christ and He only.

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Ditto.
