Woody Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 No He certainly will not allow sin to be in Heaven - praise God. Sin will never rise again after he changes us in a moment in the twinkling of an eye - when we see His face. And believe me - we will ALL need changing. That is how we can at this moment have the assurance of Salvation. Because we have the promise that He will change us at the second coming when we SEE HIS FACE. And oh I long for that day. Come quickly Lord Jesus - come soon. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Gibs Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 OzarkWoman, I am wondering the same, how is it going for you, I hope you've found the peace your heart longs for. May you be blessed in following our Redeemer. Now in a comment of what Woody commented about being changed in the Resurrecton. What we must remember is only the ones fitted up here and now in the "fitting room' take part in the first resurrection to be changed from mortals to immortals. 1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. That momment folks will only be enjoyed by the Overcomers, the ones who have overcome the world and sin now in the here and now. We must show NOW we will not be a liability to raise up sin in the Heavenly Kingdom of Jesus Christ. He don't make us to be overcomers without our help and full surrender in the here and now. Ro 6:1 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? Ro 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Ro 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Ro 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Ro 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Ro 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. We want to be in His Kingdom folks, the fitting time is here and now, you only get to come this way this one and only time, there is no second chance! Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. I have to agree with you Gibs. And what makes us fit for Heaven? The life of Jesus and His Robe of Righteousness placed in place our life. We can bring nothing to the table. We can only acknowledge how wretched we are and how Holy Jesus is. So OzarkWoman - you can be assured that even if you were not able to overcome smoking - you are saved based on Jesus and the fact that JESUS overcame. OzarkWoman Posted March 30, 2012 Author Posted March 30, 2012 I am still here and I have a few cigarettes, but not even a full pack. I am still fighting it. Quote
Stan Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 When I was quitting I would think "Having everything under control now I will just have 1/2 a smoke to get me over the edge", yeah and I believed it... AND I was back to full strength again, and had to go through the pains of quitting again. I learned that if I never take the first one again, I will then never have the second one. If you drink a lot of water it helps, not at nite, as you will get up too often and sneak a smoke When it gets nasty bad, take a shower to get you over the bump, hard to smoke in the shower. Every day gets so much easier..... as long as you do not take the first one. You are in my heart and prayers. I do understand that struggle. Administrators Gail Posted March 30, 2012 Administrators Posted March 30, 2012 I am still here and I have a few cigarettes, but not even a full pack. I am still fighting it. Praise the Lord! I'm like Woody, I can see victory ahead Do not despair, OzarkWoman. If/when you trip up look again to Jesus afresh and keep walking forward. Each time he takes you right from where you are. And as Stan has mentioned, try to find other things to do when the urge comes on. Sometimes these things take time. We are on your side and we know how hard it is! Every one of us has something that is just that hard to overcome. Keep pleading for help and remember that we are saved not only but His death but His life. He loves you and will not desert you. ((( OzarkWoman ))) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Woody Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Seventh Day - No one can prohibit her from water. But I see this thread as support for her in her situation. And her situation IS that someone has prohibited her from water - for whatever reasons they did it. Go forth OzarkWoman. We are with you. As Gail said - we all have had things to overcome and we all CONTINUE to have work to do. None are perfect - before or after baptism. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. OzarkWoman Posted March 31, 2012 Author Posted March 31, 2012 GE: Who can prohibit anyone from The Water-of-Life or being baptized in The Water-of-Life --- from That which ONLY, is able to save and actually saves? Also, Peter said, water, H2O, cannot prohibit them to be baptized. Water physical not only is NOT needed, IT, is prohibited unless you are an apostle, one of the first 12 Christian apostles. I am dumb so I do not understand what you are saying. Quote
Aliensanctuary Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 The baptism required to join a church is quite a different matter from the future baptism in the River of Life. Fish tank water has no power to heal or change anyone, but those who take a dip in the River of Life will have their basic, corrupted, selfish human natures deleted. After informed consent of the consequences, those washing up in, and drinking, the River of Life will no longer be capable of rebellion against the Laws of the Kingdom of God. Instead, they will serve YHVH with undying loyalty. They cannot harm others because all are one with the Father, and are connected to him via the Spirit. If all pastors from all religions and denominations were required to wear clown suits, we might understand better the nature of man-made religions. GE seems to be speaking here of that water which Jesus Christ gives that giveth surcease fro thirst; that is, the HS. Quote: Quote:GEAlso, Peter said, water, H2O, cannot prohibit them to be baptized. Water physical not only is NOT needed, IT, is prohibited unless you are an apostle, one of the first 12 Christian apostles. Whereas, in the immediately above quote, GE seems to refer to 'physical wate, ie, H2O - in contrast to a baptism of or by the HS. His reference to a "prohibition" of a baptism by physical water seems to have its foundation in the Matthew 28 passage where a commission (which we know as the Grand Commission) is given only to the 12 Apostles rather than it being a Grand Commission given coextensively to those coming afterwards into the Salvific message of Jesus Chist. jasd Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 My edit window seems exceeded at 5 minutes. Read: Great Commission rather than Grand ... and I suppose the typos are self-explanatory. The 'coextensive' or rather, the 'non-coextensive' position may be lent force by 1 Corinthians 10:2 whereby it is stated that 'They all' were baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea - yet were not wetted. Seems there is room for a bit of exposition there... Quote
Aliensanctuary Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Quote: YHVH is the More correct way to spell YHWHThere is no 'W' in Hebrew, so YHVH is the more correct English Trans-lettering (transliteration) of the "tetragrammaton": YHWH. Quote: The Name as Revealed in the Tanakh In the Tanakh, YHVH is the personal name of God and his most frequent designation, occurring over 6,800 times. Because it is composed from the four Hebrew letters Yod, Hey, Vav, and Hey, it is also referred to as the Tetragarammation, which simply means the "four letters."
