Woody Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 One of my son's jobs is to work as a bouncer at a Lounge. My question is : Should I add the Lounge as a friend (on FB) to show support for my son? Or would doing that give the wrong impression to my friends that I might support such an activity? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Update: I posted a picture of my son with some of his friends at the Lounge. A FB "friend" posted something to the affect that "who would want friends like that - they look like trouble." Yes, I agree with that. But I for sure don't want it said. I want to be kind to them and respect my son. Obviously - I deleted my "friend's" Comment. But it was not before one of them saw it. :( Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Administrators Naomi Posted April 4, 2012 Administrators Posted April 4, 2012 Woody, I don't know how much support it would to your son to "friend" the lounge as a business. That seems like it would have to be a personal decision. As for the picture, I didn't see anything that would make me have feelings one way or another for your son's picture with him and his friends. "Judge not least you be judged" As for the comments of your "friends" on facebook: are you really serious??? friends??? M. T. Cross Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Man attitudes like that cheese me off. I run into it myself a lot because of my tattoos etc. Funny thing is I guess I am guilty of it too. I see a car pull up to my house and see someone in a suit or dress get out holding a book and some little magazines get out and proceed across my lawn I usually think the same thing. Quote

LOL Isn't intresting how we react to our preconcieved ideas about another by the way they dress, look, walk, etc. Guess we are found guilty in life's court of judgement. Woody Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 Quote: As for the comments of your "friends" on facebook: are you really serious??? friends??? Yes. Well - I like to be a well rounded person with friends of all kinds. And while I don't have a LOT of strict conservative SDA friends - this one for sure belongs to that catagory. I've had a few round with this person before. I wrote a message to the friend explaining why I deleted the response. She has not responded yet. But I explained that I thought her post could be "interpreted as negative" and hurt their feelings. How's that for being diplomatic? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. M. T. Cross Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Its usually the book and the magazines that catch my attention. Oddly enough I have developed an ability to see the word Watchtower on a magazine from like a block away Quote
