After the net was taken to shore, the bad fish were thrown in the fire were there was gnashing of teeth. With the subject in another thread in mind, the question then is: Since God is the one who does the cleaning, should every fish that the gospel net brings in be baptized no matter their condition? Stan Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 Baptism to me, is a rite of passage, like marriage, graduation etc, when you get your friends together and say 'there has been a significant change in my life' I as single, now I am married, or I was a student now I am a graduate and moving on my career, or for funerals, "I was alive and now I am not " Baptism in not a magical entrance to anything, but a public proclamation that there has been a significant change in my life. However, when fishing I refused to bate the hook or take the fish off the hook. Dr. Rich Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 What a bunch of wimps! Shoot, I rather enjoy cleaning fish. I suppose one must learn how to do it right and then you will find out how easy it is. Mater of fact, I just cleaned five fish (trout) this evening. I can do it and never get one of my hands dirty. Remember, the bad fish caught in the net (prophecy from Jesus) are thrown in the fire where there will be gnashing of teeth. This means that both good and bad will be found IN the Kingdom of Heaven when the real cleaning will be done by God. Can anyone say "shaking"? Quote
