You can be a white Hispanic, or a black Hispanic; you just have to come from a Hispanic culture, such as most of America below the US. Hispanic has nothing to do with the amount of melanin in one's skin. "Black" is a racial designation based on inherited skin pigmentation; Obama has dark skin, Obama identifies with the black race, therefore he is black. Zimmerman is white, comes from a Hispanic background, is a white Hispanic. What gives here? The Democrats do not claim that Obama is black!!!! Obama claims that he's black. That is his right to do so, plain and simple. If you have a black mother/father and a white mother/father, you can decide what you want to be called. I take it you've never grown up with friends that have black fathers and white mothers or vice a versa?
