Stan Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 A giver, when it comes to posting, is when you start a new tread or topic. A taker, is those who like to 'correct' others or hijack the thread from what the creator started. Woody Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I start probably more posts than most - with pk being the top King. But, I figure a thread is just a conversation and conversations naturally veer off course to some degree. So, I usually don't make a big deal of it. If the thread does not veer off topic - most will just die a short death. Having it linger on is no big deal to me. ALthough I do appreciate efforts to bring the conversation back on topic. I thought of hijacking this topic. But then thought better of it. lol So, back to the topic. Giver or Taker? I really don't view it in either terms. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

In fact it does not even make any sense at all. Jesus came to this earth to CORRECT the 'postings' of the Jewish leaders. Check out the sermon on the mount. Quote
Stan Posted April 12, 2012 Author Posted April 12, 2012 Really? I have never met anyone who was a replacement of Christ. He did know it all, I have seen many who act like they do. There is nothing more bothersome to many people then those who deem themselves as able to correct everyone on everything they say. They usually do not come back. re read this Quote: Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do. And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with – even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department. Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message Dig deep and post items that are an inspiration to others. What you are looking for is a mutual admeration society then? Perhaps you better start looking for that ONE Elijah type (Matt. 24:45) who will be feeding the fellow servants, Stan. Woody was correct in two ways, that he starts posts more than most and that a thread will go now where if everyone feels the same way. Quote
Gibs Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Ah come on "preach unto me smoothee things", now don't all like that. But the problem is, are smoothee things that strait and narrow way, oops, afraid not. What we must do is post or comment what we find to be an edifying help to understand the "way" in the darkness of this sin strickenworld which is awash in lies and deceptions. The Truth of things in most cases of religious nature is not the easy received message most want to hear. It's like giving a boozer another jug of moonshine so he gets high on the spirits of it to give what the worldly want to hear. Hey we have differing looks at things and what's wrong with working on discussing stuff any bring up if you care to comment. The main thing I see is we must each keep our cool and NOT go at it like we are God and know it all. The best post or comment is scripture to show your thesis is with the Word. .Let's do that and let others decide if the scripture given is indeed in line of the thought. Blessings to all who, Re 1:3 ¶ Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
