Their view of the Bible is very different from that of a Christian. Christians do not apologize to drunks and prostitutes rather we try to win them with the Gospel message of freedom and salvation. Many Catholics - like Finley have decided to join the Adventist church. But they did not make the decision because Adventists keep glossing over the events of the dark ages. Rather they make that decision because Adventists are willing to state the facts plainly even if those facts do not fit a politically-correct agenda in a "sacrifice truth for friendship" model. The idea that the Word of God is less valuable then winning popularity with the masses - is not Bible evangelism. Christ said to the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4 "you worship you know not what - but we know the God that we worship for salvation is of the Jews". And just like the millions of Catholics today that choose to become SDA when they hear the truth - the woman at the well chose to follow Christ. He was a friend that was not afraid to present unpopular politically-incorrect truth. To single out a group of people to be treated different than any other group is a miscarriage of justice. All should be treated with respect. Having said that, that doesn't mean that we need to condone certain lifestyle's. Do you condone criminals? Do you condone Prostitution? etc.? If you mistreat someone because they are not a Christian than you are not treating them as Jesus asks us to do. He says to love your neighbor as yourself. When you say "we" don't include me in your group! Either speak for yourself, or don't speak for anyone else. All are sinners and have come short of the glory of God.
