Administrators Naomi Posted April 25, 2012 Administrators Posted April 25, 2012 Those who don't believe in Predestination - WILL be LOST WOW, this confuses me, is it some kind of new belief system? Are you saying that if I believe in predestination that I am saved! Saved from what? How do I know which way I am predestined to go? Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
skyblue888 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Eph.1:4,5 clearly teaches predestination according to the will of God (mystery of His will, verse 9), that all of us were chosen in Christ before we were born, before we had any chance to do anything. We were all chosen in Christ even before the foundation of the world without any discrimination at all, but in order for this predestination to be effective for each and everyone of us faith must be exercised. We must first and continually lay hold upon the merits of our Redeemer, the merits of His shed blood. Otherwise all is in vain for us. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." S.C.36.

Quote: How do I know which way I am predestined to go? ALL - are predestined to be saved. It's the plan that was made and carried out by Jesus. Whether you accept it is up to you. But ALL are predestined by God to be saved. That is HIS plan. What is YOUR plan is up to you. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. skyblue888 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 We were predestinated before the foundation of the world, to be holy in Christ. Eph.1:4,5. And for that reason the command has been given, "Be Holy, for I am holy." 1 Peter 1:16. All His commandments are enablings through the merits of a crucified and risen Saviour. Solemn! sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." S.C.36.
fccool Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I think it's rather a play on words. Destination is where you believe you should be going. If you don't believe that you have a destination, then you are lost as a ship drifting in a sea. I guess could be true to a certain extend. Quote
cricket Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 What, then, about the nomad or wanderer? What about the one who destines himself to wander? Then, would you say that a person who destines to wander and ends up saved would be lost, or contrariwise, if he ends up lost would he still be at his destiny? Thoroughly confused you? Welcome to my brain. Quote
