Stan, Is that a demographic shift of something else? Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein

But the Holy Spirit is moving them to prioritize their focus. They've got bigger fish to fry than making sure that the churches under their influence are running according to the NT model. If you can't deal appropriately with bad male leadership how can you be trusted to ordain good female leaders? They're hot on the heels of their sister SECC. Quote

CoAspen Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Maybe they recognized the 'bad leadership', decided to go out side the 'box' by allowing women to lead! Perhaps they are using several methods to 'right the ship'! Not sure why the first reaction would be a 'frown' or are you smiling? As to how the H*S is leading them, don't know, as I can only speak for myself. Quote

CyberGuy Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 A new pastor came to a church and within one year the membership had declined by 50 percent. The confernece president asked the pastor what was going on at his church. The pastor replied. "It did not take me long to relize that half the membership were deceased or had moved away and joined other churches or left the church. By simply getting the membership records up to date I had decreased the books of the church membership by half. But the membership records are now accurate." So do not knock SCC for declinning membership. It may not be bad leadership but simply getting their records in order. Quote Riverside CA
