Stan Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Many of us have experiences a slow down of clubadventist.com We have been on the index list of China's biggest search engine for indexing. There are twice as many people in China on the internet than there are living Americans today. They do not index a lot of religious websites. While many sites are blocked to the Chinese, ie youtube, Facebook etc ours is not. Clubadventist was one of the fastest North American websites that came up when I was there. HOWEVER we are getting up to 200 database inquiries per second from China. Causing the significant slowdown, and sometimes crashing the mysql server. I have a choice now of either trying to block the Chinese people from accessing this site or spend a bunch more $$$ per month on faster server(s) Looking for wisdom here.
