On the other hand, Republicans are decrying things under Obama that they lauded under Bush. Is it possible, any more, to look at issues on their merits, rather than through partisan lenses? What do you think Bravus? You've read the posts for the past few years! There's no way that's ever gonna happen. As far as I'm concerned I have no problem looking at the issues and not at the party. The same thing has happened to a certain extent in the church. Don't want to be dramatic but it seems like there has been a change in the way we process information. It seems like were are losing an ability think critically. Is this a result of our use of certain types of technology, social media etc? Perhaps this type of partisanship is part of the ebb and flow of political culture that grows over decades and then corrects itself, but I've noticed a shift. Incidentally, i'm reading a book by Dr Andrew Weil called Spontaneous Happiness (don't let the title put you off) where he spends a chapter talking about the impact our modern world has our thinking, emotions and general well being. Guest Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 The difference is that Obama ran STRONGLY against all those things. Bush didn't. Yet now big 0 carries on as if he had never said a word against it. Close Gitmo? Who?.. What? Huh? End all wars in the first 30 days? What? Who said that? Must have been someone else. Look up the word "Hypocrite". There should be a a picture of Obama there. Quote

Like when he, as a Senator, called Bush unpatriotic for running up 4 trillion in new debt, in 8 years. But now he has increased it by 5, going on 6 trillion in 3-1/2 years. Which is worse? Ohhhh, if only I had a calculator...then I would know. Quote
