When I was first becoming a Christian, there were all kinds of warning tracks and sermons about the dangerous country of China. I remember one read something like this. "they have 200,000,000 soldiers that are ready to take away our way of life and freedom" or something similar.

Now after being there, I have to ask this question.

How many wars have they been involved in since WW2?

How many wars has the US been involved with since WW2?

How many ware has Russia been involved with since WW2?

If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses.

False threats back then Stan.

But today they have taken the jobs, which is our way of life.

(Actually, we gave them the skills & start-up - they built the factories & supplied the labour.)

Where did you live during the 1950s up through 1990? There was a "cold war" going on after WWII. It erupted into actual fighting in Korea when the North invaded the South. The Cold War almost turned into WWIII when the USSR tried to smuggle nuclear weapons into Cuba.

How many people died in China as a direct result of Mao and the communists? How many died in the USSR as a result of Stalin's policies? Those things had nothing to do with threats from evangelicals.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

China invaded Tibet and Xinjiang after WW2. In recent years they've threatened war on Taiwan numerous times and would have occupied it by now if not for the US. They have been fighting "terrorism" in their semi-autonomous region of Xinjiang which is a Muslim territory that desires independence.

The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan and Georgia. The Russian Federation went to war with Chechnya (who was fighting for independence) and they also invaded Georgia just a few years back and then became one of a only a few countries to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia both of which were part of Georgia and Georgia continues to consider part of their territory.

Could it be that what you saw in China was the progressive industrialized area(s)? In many countries there is a vast difference between the Urban and Rural .... which translates into personal lifestyles and freedoms.

If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God

Well, for one -- they fought a war against their own peoples for decades -- bruiting a kill of 60 million upward to an estimate of 100 million in establishing and maintaining their communist govt... Anyway, given that and looking up the ten bloodiest wars in recorded history, one finds China fighting four of them -- and should one include the Mongols and Timur as sharing the same tents of Japeth..., of the ten -- one finds that China fought in six of the ten.

Of course, that is taking the long view...

Per the shorter view: war with and the expelling of the Kuomitang? Tibet? Korea? India? Vietnam? Soviets? All wars of aggression.

Compared with the USofA, these were not wars which they were obliged to participate in per UN Treaties, ie, Korean and Vietnamese wars -- and others per NATO treaty.

However, all prior wars pale into insignificance considering the great ones which will soon overwhelm. Look for a Sino-Soviet alliance... They will have the monies, the strategic minerals, the manpower, scientific technology, engineers and technicians, energy, and the moral latitude to wage unrestricted warfare.

The primary objective will be to take a spoil; that is, the North American continent -- with a greatly reduced population of the truly and clinically insane Americans -- who are destined to whiz away their inheritance :(

But today they have taken the jobs, which is our way of life.

No, our leaders (who don't answer to "the people", but rather the lobbyists) have made trade agreements that undermine our labor rights and a living wage. It's a back door for business to pay under a minimum wage. It's called exploitation!

Yup.

Actually, we gave them the skills & start-up

- they built the factories & supplied the labour.
