In 1988,

In June 2007,

(then) Presidential

On September 25,

2009 from 4 am until 7

pm, a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion was

held on Capitol Hill,

beside the White House. There were over 50,000 Muslims that

day in DC.

I guess it

doesn't matter if "Christians"

are offended by this event -

we obviously

don't count as "anyone"

anymore.

The direction

this country is headed

should strike fear in the heart of every Christian.

Especially knowing that the

I do agree its sad, but if we agree with a separation of Church and State than I don't see a problem. But if we make a day of pray for any religion than we should've had one for other religions too. But also you failed to mention all the others that didn't have a day of pray! Why is that? If you have no liking for him than just say it. It almost seems that the only Presidents that had a day of pray were all Republicans, at least the last 20 or so years.

It is true it just depends on whose bias one wishes to believe.

I did happen to see a photo of Obama in a ceremony of pledging allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, standing among others with their hand over their heart while he stood with arms stiff by his side, looking very uncomfortable.

It is true he may have been conscienciously objecting, just as the Jehovah Witnesses do about certain oaths of office. Then what is he doing in office that requires an oath of allegiance to the country he's suppose to be making first in his priorities, even to the death? No more and no less than the many who are asked to give their lives for their commander in chief if necessary. But that may be where the rub comes in. Or perhaps they may have photoshopped the picture. Yeah right!!!

No,the photo was not photo shopped. That was a claim made here by some but it is a actual photo of the president refusing to place his hand over his heart.

A real example of the eRumor as it has appeared on the Internet:

Subject: Fw: America's Most Biblically-Hostile U.S. President

America’s Most Biblically-Hostile U. S. President

When one observes President Obama’s unwillingness to accommodate America’s four-century long religious conscience protection through his attempts to require Catholics to go against their own doctrines and beliefs, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Catholic. But that characterization would not be correct. Although he has recently singled out Catholics, he has equally targeted traditional Protestant beliefs over the past four years. So since he has attacked Catholics and Protestants, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Christian. But that, too, would be inaccurate. He has been equally disrespectful in his appalling treatment of religious Jews in general and Israel in particular. So perhaps the most accurate description of his antipathy toward Catholics, Protestants, religious Jews, and the Jewish nation would be to characterize him as anti-Biblical. And then when his hostility toward Biblical people of faith is contrasted with his preferential treatment of Muslims and Muslim nations, it further strengthens the accuracy of the anti-Biblical descriptor. In fact, there have been numerous clearly documented times when his pro-Islam positions have been the cause of his anti-Biblical actions.

Listed below in chronological order are (1) numerous records of his attacks on Biblical persons or organizations; (2) examples of the hostility toward Biblical faith that have become evident in the past three years in the Obama-led military; (3) a listing of his open attacks on Biblical values; and finally (4) a listing of numerous incidents of his preferential deference for Islam’s activities and positions, including letting his Islamic advisors guide and influence his hostility toward people of Biblical faith.

1. Acts of hostility toward people of Biblical faith:

April 2008 – Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren't like them.” 1

February 2009 – Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011. 2

April 2009 – When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus' name be covered when he is making his speech. 3

May 2009 – Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House. 4

April 2009 – In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three. 5

October 19, 2010 – Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence – an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions. 6

November 2010 – Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law. 7

January 2011 – After a federal law was passed to transfer a WWI Memorial in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama administration refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law, and refused to allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court. 8

February 2011 – Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress. 9

April 2011 – For the first time in American history, Obama urges passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus eliminating conscience protection in hiring. 10

August 2011 – The Obama administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception. 11

November 2011 – Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial. 12

November 2011 – Unlike previous presidents, Obama studiously avoids any religious references in his Thanksgiving speech. 13

December 2011 – The Obama administration denigrates other countries' religious beliefs as an obstacle to radical homosexual rights. 14

January 2012 – The Obama administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis. 15

February 2012 – The Obama administration forgives student loans in exchange for public service, but announces it will no longer forgive student loans if the public service is related to religion. 16

2. Acts of hostility from the Obama-led military toward people of Biblical faith:

June 2011 – The Department of Veterans Affairs forbids references to God and Jesus during burial ceremonies at Houston National Cemetery. 17

August 2011 – The Air Force stops teaching the Just War theory to officers in California because the course is taught by chaplains and is based on a philosophy introduced by St. Augustine in the third century AD – a theory long taught by civilized nations across the world (except America). 18

September 2011 – Air Force Chief of Staff prohibits commanders from notifying airmen of programs and services available to them from chaplains. 19

September 2011 – The Army issues guidelines for Walter Reed Medical Center stipulating that “No religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading materials and/or facts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit.” 20

November 2011 – The Air Force Academy rescinds support for Operation Christmas Child, a program to send holiday gifts to impoverished children across the world, because the program is run by a Christian charity. 21

November 2011 – The Air Force Academy pays $80,000 to add a Stonehenge-like worship center for pagans, druids, witches and Wiccans. 22

February 2012 – The U. S. Military Academy at West Point disinvites three star Army general and decorated war hero Lieutenant General William G. (“Jerry”) Boykin (retired) from speaking at an event because he is an outspoken Christian. 23

February 2012 – The Air Force removes “God” from the patch of Rapid Capabilities Office (the word on the patch was in Latin: Dei). 24

February 2012 – The Army orders Catholic chaplains not to read a letter to parishioners that their archbishop asked them to read. 25

3. Acts of hostility toward Biblical values:

January 2009 – Obama lifts restrictions on U.S. government funding for groups that provide abortion services or counseling abroad, forcing taxpayers to fund pro-abortion groups that either promote or perform abortions in other nations. 26

January 2009 – President Obama’s nominee for deputy secretary of state asserts that American taxpayers are required to pay for abortions and that limits on abortion funding are unconstitutional. 27

March 2009 – The Obama administration shut out pro-life groups from attending a White House-sponsored health care summit. 28

March 2009 – Obama orders taxpayer funding of embryonic stem cell research. 29

March 2009 – Obama gave $50 million for the UNFPA, the UN population agency that promotes abortion and works closely with Chinese population control officials who use forced abortions and involuntary sterilizations. 30

May 2009 – The White House budget eliminates all funding for abstinence-only education and replaces it with “comprehensive” sexual education, repeatedly proven to increase teen pregnancies and abortions. 31 He continues the deletion in subsequent budgets. 32

May 2009 – Obama officials assemble a terrorism dictionary calling pro-life advocates violent and charging that they use racism in their “criminal” activities. 33

July 2009 – The Obama administration illegally extends federal benefits to same-sex partners of Foreign Service and Executive Branch employees, in direction violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act. 34

September 16, 2009 – The Obama administration appoints as EEOC Commissioner Chai Feldblum, who asserts that society should “not tolerate” any “private beliefs,” including religious beliefs, if they may negatively affect homosexual “equality.” 35

July 2010 – The Obama administration uses federal funds in violation of federal law to get Kenya to change its constitution to include abortion. 36

February 2011 – Obama directs the Justice Department to stop defending the federal Defense of Marriage Act. 39

March 2011 – The Obama administration refuses to investigate videos showing Planned Parenthood helping alleged sex traffickers get abortions for victimized underage girls. 40

July 2011 – Obama allows homosexuals to serve openly in the military, reversing a policy originally instituted by George Washington in March 1778. 41

September 2011 – The Pentagon directs that military chaplains may perform same-sex marriages at military facilities in violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act. 42

October 2011 – The Obama administration eliminates federal grants to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops for their extensive programs that aid victims of human trafficking because the Catholic Church is anti-abortion. 43

4. Acts of preferentialism for Islam:

May 2009 – While Obama does not host any National Day of Prayer event at the White House, he does host White House Iftar dinners in honor of Ramadan. 44

April 2010 – Christian leader Franklin Graham is disinvited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer Event because of complaints from the Muslim community. 45

April 2010 – The Obama administration requires rewriting of government documents and a change in administration vocabulary to remove terms that are deemed offensive to Muslims, including jihad, jihadists, terrorists, radical Islamic, etc. 46

August 2010 – Obama speaks with great praise of Islam and condescendingly of Christianity. 47

August 2010 – Obama went to great lengths to speak out on multiple occasions on behalf of building an Islamic mosque at Ground Zero, while at the same time he was silent about a Christian church being denied permission to rebuild at that location. 48

2010 – While every White House traditionally issues hundreds of official proclamations and statements on numerous occasions, this White House avoids traditional Biblical holidays and events but regularly recognizes major Muslim holidays, as evidenced by its 2010 statements on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha. 49

October 2011 – Obama’s Muslim advisers block Middle Eastern Christians’ access to the White House. 50

February 2012 – The Obama administration makes effulgent apologies for Korans being burned by the U. S. military, 51 but when Bibles were burned by the military, numerous reasons were offered why it was the right thing to do. 52

Many of these actions are literally unprecedented – this is the first time they have happened in four centuries of American history. The hostility of President Obama toward Biblical faith and values is without equal from any previous American president.

The word "refusing" assumes a clear read on his motives. And since we know that is absolutely not the case, this merely tells us of a very skewed bias against him and an unrestrained willingness to assume the worst about him no matter what.

And if you try to say that I am do the same about what you posted, the huge difference is that you have already repeatedly given us ample and clear evidence upon which to base that very conclusion.

The picture shows him at one freeze frame moment not having his hand over his heart. There are numerous other photos of him taken at different times during the national anthem with his hand over his heart. And there are photos of other presidents also doing and not doing it. There are any number of reasons the camera caught him at that moment not following expected protocol. It may have been that he was preoccupied thinking about his speech or just a fleeting moment of absent mindedness or distracted by any number of other important or mundane things. Or it may have been just a matter of timing of the photographer, catching him before he put his hand over his heart, or at the very end when he took it down.

Obama Denies Jesus in Georgetown Speech

Amidst all of the American flags and presidential seals, there was something missing when President Barack Obama gave an economic speech at Georgetown University this week — Jesus.

The White House asked Georgetown to cover a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name in Gaston Hall, which Obama used for his speech, according to CNSNews.com.

The gold “IHS” monogram inscribed on a pediment in the hall was covered over by a piece of black-painted plywood, and remained covered over the next day, CNSNews.com reported.

Georgetown University says it covered over the monogram “IHS” –symbolizing the name of Jesus Christ — because it was inscribed on a pediment on the stage where President Obama spoke at the university on Tuesday and the White House had asked Georgetown to cover up all signs and symbols there. As of Wednesday afternoon, the “IHS” monogram that had previously adorned the stage at Georgetown’s Gaston Hall was still covered up–when the pediment where it had appeared was photographed by CNSNews.com.

President Obama is greeted by Georgetown University

President John J. DeGioia as he arrives to deliver

remarks on the economy, April 14, 2009, at Georgetown

University. Georgetown had covered the symbol

“IHS” on the pediment above and behind the two men.

“In coordinating the logistical arrangements for yesterday’s event, Georgetown honored the White House staff’s request to cover all of the Georgetown University signage and symbols behind Gaston Hall stage,” Julie Green Bataille, associate vice president for communications at Georgetown, told CNSNews.com.“The White House wanted a simple backdrop of flags and pipe and drape for the speech, consistent with what they’ve done for other policy speeches,” she added. “Frankly, the pipe and drape wasn’t high enough by itself to fully cover the IHS and cross above the GU seal and it seemed most respectful to have them covered so as not to be seen out of context.”

On Wednesday, CNSNews.com inspected the pediment embedded in the wall at the back of the stage in Gaston Hall, where Obama delivered his speech. The letters “IHS” were not to be found. They appeared to be shrouded with a triangle of black-painted plywood.Pictures of the wooden pediment prior to Obama’s speech show the letters “IHS” in gold. Many photos posted on the Internet of other events at Gaston Hall show the letters clearly.

The White House did not respond to a request from CNSNews.com to comment on the covering up of Jesus’ name at Gaston Hall.

Georgetown, which is run by the Jesuit order, is one of the most prestigious Catholic institutions of higher education in the United States.Roman Catholics traditionally use “IHS” as an abbreviation for Jesus’ name. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, “St. Ignatius of Loyola adopted the monogram in his seal as general of the Society of Jesus (1541) and thus became the emblem of his institute.” The Society of Jesus is the formal name for the Jesuits.

Although the monogram was covered over on the wooden pediment at the back of the Gaston Hall stage where it would have been directly above and behind President Obama as he spoke, the letters “IHS” are posted elsewhere around the hall approximately 26 times on shields representing different parts of the United States and the world.Obama did not mention the name of Jesus during his address. However, he did mention Christ’s Sermon on the Mount. “There is a parable at the end of the Sermon on the Mount that tells a story of two men…‘the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house…it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock,’” Obama said.

“We cannot rebuild this economy on the same pile of sand,” he added. “We must build our house upon a rock.”

Vatican vetoes Barack Obama's nominees for US ambassador

The Vatican has vetoed three of Barack Obama's potential nominees as US ambassador amid a growing dispute between the White House and the Roman Catholic church over the new administration's support for abortion rights and the lifting of a ban on stem cell research.

Vatican sources told Italy's Il Giornale newspaper that among those rejected were Caroline Kennedy and two other Roman Catholics who were unacceptable to the pope because they have publicly stood against church dogma.

The conservative Il Giornale described the vetoes as part of a "trial of strength between Barack Obama and the US church that involves the Holy See", amid uproar among the church's hierarchy after America's principal Catholic university, Notre Dame, invited the president to give an address and receive an honorary degree next month.

Conservative Catholic groups called the potential nomination of John Kennedy's daughter, who is a prominent Obama supporter, "inappropriate" and "a calculated insult to the Holy See" because of her outspoken support for abortion rights.

The Vatican also rejected another potential nominee, Douglas Kmiec, a professor of constitutional law at Pepperdine University and former head of the office of legal counsel for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr. Kmiec, a Republican who endorsed Obama during the last election campaign, has said that Catholics who support the right to abortion need not follow the church's admonition to vote for an anti-abortion presidential candidate.

The Vatican is maintaining the official line that there have been no formal rejections of Obama's ambassadorial nominees because none has been officially put forward.

There is unhappiness in Washington that the Vatican should veto its choices because they do not adhere to Catholic teachings. But the White House has been caught off guard by the intensity of the backlash within parts of the US Catholic community, which is divided over whether private religious beliefs should decide public policy.

Some Catholic bishops swiftly challenged the president over his lifting of the ban on stem cell research and restrictions on the funding of overseas family planning groups that perform abortions.

Bishops and priests have also joined university alumni in criticising Notre Dame's president, the Rev John Jenkins, for inviting Obama to speak and offering him an honorary degree.

Cardinal Francis George, the head of the US conference of Catholic bishops, told an anti-abortion rally that the university had veered away from church teachings. "Notre Dame didn't understand what it means to be Catholic when they issued this invitation," he said.

Jenkins defended the invitation as honouring an "inspiring leader" who is healing racial wounds. The Notre Dame president said that listening to Obama did not mean the university endorsed his positions but it was a "basis for further positive engagement".

But that has been dismissed by some bishops, who point to a declaration they made five years ago saying that "the Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honour those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles".

However, Catholic public opinion is not solidly behind the church hierarchy, with a recent Gallup poll finding that 63% of American Catholics consider embryonic stem cell research to be morally acceptable. Richard Allen, a Notre Dame graduate who served as President Reagan's national security adviser, argues that Obama should be permitted to speak but said he should not be honoured with a degree.

"It's important to remember that Notre Dame is a Catholic institution. The school openly flouts the guidelines of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops when it bestows an honorary degree upon a president who supports something anathema to the faith: abortion," he said.

Another university, Arizona State, has declined to give Obama an honorary degree when he speaks there before his Notre Dame address. The university denies any slight is intended.

November 2010 – Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law

This president either has the dumbest speech writers or the most mal functioning teleprompter known to man.Or his continued omissions stem from another reason. These types of so-called misstatements are frequent and all bear the same tone. Most politicians misspeak from time to time,Obama and teleprompter and misspeak are the norm

President Obama under fire for National Motto blunder

On Monday, Congressman J. Randy Forbes, along with 42 bipartisan Members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus sent a letter to President Obama requesting that he issue a correction for misstating the National Motto.

In a speech that the President gave at the University of Indonesia in Jakarta on November 10, 2010 he said, “It is a story written into our national mottos. In the United States, our motto is E pluribus unum - out of many one...our nations show that hundreds of millions who hold different beliefs can be united in freedom under one flag.”

In the letter, the Caucus states that in 1957; Congress passed a Bill establishing “In God We Trust” as the National Motto of the United States of America. This bill was later signed into law by President Eisenhower. The Caucus also points out that in the same speech the President states being united under one flag when, in fact, our Pledge of Allegiance clearly says that as Americans we are “one nation under God.”

President Obama has previously been under fire for electing to omit the word “Creator” when quoting from the Declaration of Independence. He has done this on three occasions which is troubling to some.

“These omissions and inaccuracies are a part of a larger pattern we are seeing with the President where he is inaccurately reflecting America and undercutting important parts of our nation’s history. Trust in God is embedded into the fabric of society and history in the United States. If we allow these threads to be pulled, we will begin to unravel the very freedoms that birthed America” said Forbes, Founder & Co-Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus.

The Congressional Prayer Caucus is an official Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Prayer Caucus is a bipartisan group of 68 Members dedicated to protecting religious liberty and recognizing our nations’ rich, spiritual history.

November 2011 – Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial. /quote]

I realize with the mention of Fox news many of you will dismiss. There are plenty of liberal sources you can find if you deny this. The prayer is part of history, not some addition that some religious fanatic now wants inserted. But we mustn't offend anyone

During a congressional hearing on whether to include President Roosevelt's famous prayer as part of the WWII Memorial, an Obama administration official objected, saying the prayer would "dilute" the memorial's central message. What is happening to this country?

As reported by Fox News, "Republican lawmakers and conservative activists are expressing outrage after the Obama administration announced its objection to adding President Franklin Roosevelt's D-Day prayer to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C."

"It is unconscionable that the Obama administration would stand in the way of honoring our nation's distinguished World War II veterans," Rep. Bill Johnson said. "President Roosevelt's prayer gave solace, comfort and strength to our nation and our brave warriors as we fought against tyranny and oppression."

But Robert Abbey, the director of the Bureau of Land Management, said any plaque or inscription of the prayer would "dilute" the memorial's central message and therefore "should not be altered."

"It is not a judgment as to the merit of this new commemoration, simply that altering the Memorial in this way, as proposed in HR 2070, will necessarily dilute this elegant memorial's central message and its ability to clearly convey that message to move, educate, and inspire its many visitors," Abbey said in written testimony.

CNSNews.com reports that in trying to cover himself, Abbey said his opposition is not to the prayer itself but that the prayer would "intrude" on the memorial, "something that is technically prohibited by federal law."

"The Commemorative Works Act specifically states that a new commemorative work shall be located so that it does not encroach upon an existing one. It is not a judgment as to the merit of this new commemoration, simply that altering the Memorial in this way, as proposed in H.R. 2070, will necessarily dilute this elegant memorial's central message," Abbey said.

In other words, the Obama administration argues that Congress is trying to create a separate memorial commemorating FDR's prayer, rather than an addition to the national World War II Memorial.

It's sad how times change. On the one hand, we have Barack Obama omitting "endowed by our Creator" on several occasions when he has referenced the Declaration of Independence. On the other, we have Franklin Roosevelt who took to the airwaves to ask the nation to pray with him. Here is Roosevelt's D-Day prayer spoken on June 6, 1944 that Johnson seeks to have included in the memorial:

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

February 2011 – Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress.

President Obama announced his intent to appoint Suzan Johnson Cook to serve as Ambassador-At-Large for International Religious Freedom at the Department of State.2011.The we have.....That is someone that we all should want guarding religious freedoms.NOT!!

Obama Appoints (yet another) Muslim Propagandist to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom

Meet Obama’s new appointee to promote religious freedom Islam & Sharia around the world.

Obama has announced the appointment of Azizah al-Hibri to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom. Al-Hibri (full name, Azizah Yahia Muhammad Toufiq al-Hibri) is a Muslim professor and the granddaughter of a Sheikh, who claims that the Koran inspired Thomas Jefferson and the Founders and that the Saudi criminal justice system is more moral than the American one because it accepts blood money from murderers.

How’s that for a start. But wait there’s more.

In the early days of 2001, Al-Hibri traveled to the Afghan border and criticized the Western press for “sensationalizing” Taliban atrocities and using them “as an opportunity to attack Islam”. After the attacks of September 11, she cautioned against bombing Al-Qaeda and Taliban targets during Ramadan. And that same year she defended Wahhabism as part of Islam’s “religious diversity” and its “marketplace of ideas”.

And still more…

Yet the oddest moment in Al-Hibri’s career of promoting Islamic law in the United States may have come when before Clinton’s impeachment proceedings, she actually wrote an article discussing how a sitting President of the United States might be tried under Islamic law.

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

Quote:
The word "refusing" assumes a clear read on his motives. And since we know that is absolutely not the case, this merely tells us of a very skewed bias against him and an unrestrained willingness to assume the worst about him no matter what.

No you don't know that is absolutely not the case.Neither do I

The pattern of behavior and contempt for the Constitution and the rule of law has been there from the beginning of his presidency.

Quote:
And if you try to say that I am do the same about what you posted, the huge difference is that you have already repeatedly given us ample and clear evidence upon which to base that very conclusion.

Of course you wouldn't. To many people you have given "clear and ample evidence"

Quote:
The picture shows him at one freeze frame moment not having his hand over his heart. There are numerous other photos of him taken at different times during the national anthem with his hand over his heart. And there are photos of other presidents also doing and not doing it. There are any number of reasons the camera caught him at that moment not following expected protocol. It may have been that he was preoccupied thinking about his speech or just a fleeting moment of absent mindedness or distracted by any number of other important or mundane things. Or it may have been just a matter of timing of the photographer, catching him before he put his hand over his heart, or at the very end when he took it down.

Nothing about this story indicates the excuse of catching him before he put his hand over his heart.

Again, there is a pattern of behavior with this man,the brightest man to inhabit the Whitehouse exhibiting appalling ignorance or ?? for the country.

How many excuses can you find for the master of excuses?

"February 2012 – The Obama administration makes effulgent apologies for Korans being burned by the U. S. military, 51 but when Bibles were burned by the military, numerous reasons were offered why it was the right thing to do. 52

Many of these actions are literally unprecedented – this is the first time they have happened in four centuries of American history. The hostility of President Obama toward Biblical faith and values is without equal from any previous American president."

Thank you, Bonnie, for giving a far more thorough and infomative picture of our (some of the U.S. leadership) present position towards the Person responsible for America's successes. We are, as a nation and a world, surely living in Babylon (confusion) and as a result of those errors that might be made because of that confusion, it is my opinion that this confusion will lead many Christians (some out of fear) to accept religious leadership rather than their own knowledge of what the Bible reveals, based on traditions instead of the sure Word.

"“So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders. I know that false teachers, like vicious wolves, will come in among you after I leave, not sparing the flock. Even some men from your own group will rise up and distort the truth in order to draw a following." Acts 20:28-30 NLT

My dad always told us,Don't fear those outside the church,it is those sitting in the pew with you that will cause the most harm

SDA's in surprising numbers are so infatuated with a man and his government grab of power, they see it as a good thing.

When the "war on smoking began" I was surprised to hear a very conservative SDA express,"This is just the beginning"

As bad as tobacco is,it is a legal product, subsidized by the very government that is passing so many laws.

We have grown from that to thinking it a great idea for government to mandate what our children bring in a school lunch, try to regulate the size of soft drink, the amount of salt, yet reduce or waive the penalty for pot possession. They can take my school age child for an abortion without telling me,yet that same child cannot be given an aspirin without parental consent. While I agree that a parent needs to give permission, except in an emergency, how much more serious is aborting a child

No intent to revive the abortion debate or the right or wrong but that started a very slippery slide that we have lost control of. Aborted babies that are born alive can be left to die and yes Obama agreed.Yet if I leave a baby to die I will go to prison. If you don't like the sex of the coming baby, get rid of it. Don't let a late trimester pregnancy hamper you. These helpless infants can be brought almost to birth and have a scissors stuck in the back of their skull, that way they are legally dead at birth. If a woman decides she wants her baby and is killed by another, the guilty can be charged with two murders or two manslaughter charges. If she decides to destroy it,then it is a matter of choice.Makes perfect sense in a liberal world.

Separation of church and state is now a matter of using the words faith/God/belief as profanity, something only to be uttered in the privacy of your own home, many SDA's are fully behind Obama and other liberals on this.Yet,free speech demands that TV/Internet/radio/comedians/media can and does use any foul profanity they wish.Surprising the number of SDA christians that listen to ignorant foul mouthed comics and commentators and think it is funny or a profound statement. That is free speech but don't you mention God or you might offend someone.

Deviancy is now championed by christians as only another lifestyle choice. Our children are being taught that unless they accept that they are filled with hate.We can't stop people from doing what they choose to do,but some where along the line it might be wise not to champion and agree that it is right and good as long as someone claims "love"

Last evening my wife and I attended a bible study group that were in conflict with a church body close by, same denomination, because the perhaps more sensitive group had been superceded by a more aggressive body of believers who had adopted the habit of spreading their literature like the leaves of autumn. As a result a lot of time-consuming effort to win the friendship of a third body of believers, seemed to put that effort in jeopardy by accusations of infringing on area designated as belonging to the first group.

Rather than take sides as to who was right and who wrong, I came to the conclusion that it was more important for the disciple of Christ to remember that we have been called to be servants. Rather than put pressure on anyone to do what I felt was their duty, it seemed to me more useful to become better acquainted with the Lord of all and listen for Him to give me instructions about how I should behave toward saint and sinner alike and let God straighten out both in their duty to Him.

"So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”" Matthew 13:27-32 NKJV
