Administrators Gail Posted June 9, 2012 Administrators Posted June 9, 2012 Believing the best of someone instead of the worst? Love looks at a person's potential instead of his/her (hen's) faults. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted June 9, 2012 Administrators Posted June 9, 2012 I see it as having confidence in or trust, no matter what may come. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)

Gibs Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Sounds like a great place to live but are you in a very cold region of those mountains. Trefz lives out there and in cold country, he writes "Cherith Chronicles" 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Robert Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Believing the best of someone instead of the worst? Love looks at a person's potential instead of his/her (hen's) faults. 2 Cor 5:14 14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died (in Christ) ; 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. 16 Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh (as a child of Adam) ; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh (He assumed our humanity), yet now we know Him in this way no longer (He was raised with a glorified humanity). 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature (in Christ) ; the old things passed away ; behold, all things are new (in Christ). 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world (the human race) to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. In other words "agape" (as Gail stated) sees a person not as they are as a child of Adam (i.e., a sinner controlled by their bent to self), but as a Child of God in Christ. Quote
