Gibs Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 Hmmm, Yes I think so, the ones He sees He can take the stiffness out of the neck without breaking it. It's not that he needs any as He could easily do the job better Himself but that man is to help one another to His way which leads to life eternal. It is by faith in His word that we must receive Him, not from proof of an angel from heaven to lead us or of Himself, if we were not destroyed in His Presence. So it boils down to the fact man works and God works through men and we must sort out who it is that is of Him. We must become critical sorters! 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ

Moderators Gerr Posted June 17, 2012 Moderators Posted June 17, 2012 Indeed God can use anyone. But the more bagage, the less effective that person becomes. Quote

I am thinking that Samson's long hair comment might be related to why and how it got cut off...God can use anyone!! And He certainly used Samson! When I was a kid; I used to pretend I was Tarzan; then it was Hercules. But when I found out about Samson; I switched to him right away. lol, and I have stayed Samson ever since! M. T. Cross Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I don't know OA, Tarzan got Jane and invented extreme sports with the vine swinging and all, Hercules had a really cheezy ( but good) tv series made about him as well as a Disney movie, Samson got betrayed by the girl and then got crushed by the building he was destroying....... troyjs Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Actually, there is no evidence that Jesus had 'shoulder-length' hair. Rather, Jesus probably had short-hair as was Jewish custom. Even though God can use anybody -- He even used a donkey -- that does not mean that we are free to be just anybody. Rather, we ought to be like Christ, being conformed to the image of His likeness. Samson is pretty cool though, and I don't think Tarzan could pull down a building ;-) kind regards ThoroughlyFurnished.blogspot.com Quote “Knowledge of the sciences is so much smoke apart from the heavenly science of Christ”---John Calvin
skyblue888 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 God can use anyone is not to be taken that He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness using anyone that is not walking in the light unless that light is received, believed and acted upon. troyjs Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 sky, All people who are walking in the light, are also continuing to confess their sins, and if they say they have no sin in them, they are liars. Does that mean that those who walk in the light, are living after the flesh? No. Rather, those who walk in the light are those who confess their sins to God, and are cleansed from all unrighteousness. kind regards Quote “Knowledge of the sciences is so much smoke apart from the heavenly science of Christ”---John Calvin

Righ? sky It is not important how much Light one has; it is only important what one does with that Light. According to many Bible principles, a little bit is as good as a lot. You only need the size of a mustart seed...God will "finish the work" by using anyone He chooses; even if we say they are not "good enough."
