Administrators Gail Posted June 12, 2012 Administrators Posted June 12, 2012 I learned this from doing a Revelation study by Jon Paulien: Through the Bible, when God's people apostasize, he punishes them by bringing a nation against them. This happened with the Assyrians and Babylonians, I know, but could also have happened with the Philistines in their day and the Romans. Then, when they finally humble themselves He then turns and works in favour of them, working mightily AGAINST those He used to chastise them, to overcome them. Thoughts? This takes in practically all the so called Christian world today. We remember His Words. Mt 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Mt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. All of the "church structures" preach to men the way is wide and easy to find and all who believe are saved. That "strait gate and narrow way" is not well traveled and not easily found. The covenant specified that when the Israelites disobeyed and did not repent when disciplined they would go into exile, and then God would bring them back from exile later. God would do this for his own name's sake, not because the Israelites deserved or earned the right to return. God is not finished with the Israelites. The "second exodus" is still to come. Quote

Gibs __________ Gibs, the Bible and the SoP make it crystal clear that in order to be among the 144,000 one must pass the great final test at the end of the loud cry. Therefore the 144,000 (symbolic number) will be be made up at the end of the loud cry when probation is closing. Gibs _________ If this is talking about the judgment of the living, it does not take place until the mission of the Gospel is completed as stated in C.O.L.122,123. Re 11:1 ¶ And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. Re 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. There is 42 mos. left after the Temple of God is measured up. This is a prophecy issue and not for this thread. I am not a historic SDA, some is yet to be fulfilled and those 42 mos. is one of them.
