Members phkrause Posted June 25, 2012 Members Posted June 25, 2012 Wow, makes me homesick for when I lived there!!! Kind of I've heard you mention that a few times. When did you live there Kevin, and for how long? Do you speak Hebrew? Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Administrators Gail Posted June 25, 2012 Administrators Posted June 25, 2012 It is breathtaking :) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Moderators Kevin H Posted June 26, 2012 Moderators Posted June 26, 2012 My first job after college was as a missionary actor with the Jerusalem Passion Play and Nativity play of Bethlehem, I lived there about 6 months in 1982, then I returned 14 months later to study Biblical Geography for one month, December 1983-January 1984, then I went to visit friends (actually a girl I worked with in the Nativity Play had kind of proposed to me, but a week before I got there her dad showed up with a surprise for her an arranged marriage) but it was good to see friends again. Three of my favorite former girlfriends lived there. Sadly I don't have the gift of tongues. I know some of the basics to get by such as hello, good bye, please, thank you, and hello beautiful woman.
