Gordon1 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Cellphones: Near-perfect spy devices: NSA monitors text messages and and caller locations. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=31899 Quote
Members phkrause Posted July 15, 2012 Members Posted July 15, 2012 The government's been doing this for years, with whatever they can use. Cell phones have been being used to locate people for years, so its a no brainer for them, if they needed another way to monitor activity, they'd use it. I believe that that is one of the ways they found OBL, spying on cellphone calls. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Dottie Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 What isn't made clear in that article is if the communication can be monitored whenever they choose, or if it is only available from a phone that is set to GPS all the time. Mine has always been set to "E911 only," meaning that the pohone can not be located unless I call 911. Quote
cricket Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Dottie, what would happen if you cannot dial 911 for some reason? Don't you want someone to be able to track your location? Quote
Dottie Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 No. I live where there are many people all around al-l-l the time. Quote
