As a Christian, I understand the importance of faith. But Jesus did not say you have to be illogical or inhumane to be a person of faith. Newcombe and others like him would remember that, I doubt he would have chosen the day after the Aurora shooting to tell mourners their loved ones are burning in hell.

It was interesting when one of our own said California was on fire because gay marriage had been approved. Never mind that every year California is on fire. Sometimes worse than other times.

What I would give for someone to ask him publicly why he thought Iowa and some surrounding states had been under water in 2008.

Blaming one of our own prejudices for calamities doesn't seem that intelligent to me but rather superficial. I think looking deeper would tell us the real reasons. But I guess if the goal is to force change by inspiring fear through manipulation, coercion, or force....well it has worked for centuries. Why change the formula?

Why indeed? It's worked for Satan for thousands of years! In a worldly sense, why fix something that ain't broken? I'm glad God doesn't think like that. I can hardly wait until His love finally conquers all!
