skyblue888 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 I received this through the e-mail. BREAKING NEWS: The Catholic Church is taking the General Conference of S.D.A to court over the worldwide circulation of the book 'Great Controversy.' The book was launched and is being circulated around the world, with some pictures added about the work of the papacy, pagan worship, etc. The Catholic's are not happy about it. Six out of the nine Supreme Court judges in the US are Catholics! ___________ Has anyone here heard about this? sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted July 29, 2012 Administrators Posted July 29, 2012 Untrue. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." Q.E.D. Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Have Confidence in Your Church and Its Leadership Thursday/July/2012 09:40 AM Filed in: Leonard A. Johnson In recent times, there have been several emails circulating claiming that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is being sued by the Roman Catholic Church over the Great Controversy Project; the General Conference president, Elder Ted Wilson, is a Jesuit; the Mark of the Beast is embedded in the Great Controversy Project, and also promoting a new conference dedicated to proclaiming “the historic doctrines held by God's true people in all ages.” Accordingly, I seek to address these charges. General Conference not Being Sued The Union’s Communication Director, Pastor Andrew Burrows, as well as Pastor Barrington Brennen, a local pastor of South Bahamas Conference, each sent out information refuting any claim that the Seventh-day Adventist Church was being sued by the Roman Catholic Church over the Great Controversy Project. In fact, I personally spoke with one of the general vice presidents of the General Conference, Elder Lowell Cooper, who was in Nassau last week to lead out in the leadership development training. He assured me that no such thing had occurred. For further information see the following article. THE RUMORS ARE JUST THAT. Gibs Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Nothing to worry about. SDA church has now become so cozy to the Papacy that she is fairly happy with her as a sister. Good Grief. Do you have to share your negativity about my church - in every post? It really drags down the spirit of the forum here. We are here to praise God and you are here to bring us all down. skyblue888 Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 oh Woody, relax. What Gibs said is not so farfetched. Your prophet even said that there was a danger that we might become a sister to the other churches and that includes the Catholic church. In the words of Daniel the prophet this means that our church would have "intelligence" with the man of sin, the false king of the north through the papal church. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." Gibs Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Woody, Yes it is a sad day to realize but what is truth cannot be denied. The facts of the matter are glaringly in our faces and to ignore them don't remove them. We are one it is being put forth, but one in what? I for one cannot be one with the enemy.
