Are there times when our self pride can put us in the Devil's playground?

I think so.

Just as we place ourselves in positions to be used by God - I think we also place ourselves in positions to be used by the Devil.

A house divided can't stand. Ultimately we will fully be in God's camp or Satan's. We cannot serve God and evil. Never give in to venture on Satan's ground, that is super quick, quick sand.

Mr 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

Mr 3:26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

Question then becomes, Whom is your Master? He is to whom you obey and follow!

Ro 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Thanks Gibs. I think in some ways - I agree with you. Once we head down that path of supporting the Devil - it is a dangerous slide. And those that might appear to be saintly - can be some of the most dangerous agents of the Devil.
