Woody Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 This seemed appropriate to some recent posts: Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

LifeHiscost Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 LHC,Take a look at some of the posts on other threads concerning WO. Maybe you will change your mind. I would like to suggest the possibility that a totally immature person calling themselves "Christian", might be possible and they will be changed with time by the power of the Holy Spirit if they are willing to let Him rule in their lives. However if the change is not seen as necessary and repentance is not accepted in reality, then they just become wolves in sheeps clothing and "oxy-moron" applies. With time not serving the purpose of making them "new creations in Christ", I would submit the only other option remaining is this, sad to say. "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44 NKJV Gopd blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

Woody Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012 Calling people wolves and morons is really not appropriate. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
JoeMo Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Amen, Woody I though as Christians that we are not to judge one another. i thought that was God's job. Quote

Members phkrause Posted August 26, 2012 Members Posted August 26, 2012 LHC,Take a look at some of the posts on other threads concerning WO. Maybe you will change your mind. I would so agree, but I have found that those posts went to both sides and not just limited to those that are for WO. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
LifeHiscost Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Calling people wolves and morons is really not appropriate. I'm sure some felt that to be true during this reality also. "“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. "Matt 12:33-35 NKJV Gopd blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!

JoeMo Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 RLH, I've never done any beekeeping - I'm terrified of stinging insects if general. Was that a curiosity question or is there some spiritual lesson in that? Quote
LifeHiscost Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 RLH,I've never done any beekeeping - I'm terrified of stinging insects if general. Was that a curiosity question or is there some spiritual lesson in that? Would it be possible the principle that is found in these texts? " Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, 7 Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, 8 Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. 9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? 10 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep— 11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man."Proverbs 6:6-11 NKJV "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going."Eccl 9:10 NKJV And I'm assuming that would mean doing it legally, although either way would reveal the person's direction spiritually. God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
JoeMo Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 LHC I have no idea how to take that comment as anything but rebuke. I won't be responding to it, except that you have proven the statement in the first post on this thread. Quote

I won't be responding to it, except that you have proven the statement in the first post on this thread. Sorry you feel that way, JoeMo. The intent had no direction from me except to give a principle that the scriptures reveal using an insect for a valuable lesson to man in general. I would suppose that Peter, the apostle, might have felt somewhat the same sting when Jesus spoke directly to him re: to the best intentions of Peter. "But he turning about, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and saith, Get thee behind me, Satan; for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men."Mark 8:32 ASV And this after Peter had spoken in an effort to save the Son of God from what Peter felt was unnecessary and cruel treatment. "And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And He was stating the matter plainly. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter and *said, “Get behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.” And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." Mark 8:31-34 NASB I have no doubt that many Christians have lost their lives and continue to lose them as a result of giving the Word plainly in the face of a generation that believes the Word does not apply to them, no matter how well meaning it might have been given. Many of us squirm when this part of those scriptures is presented. "And He was stating the matter plainly. " God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
