Dr. Waite Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 What do you think of Google: SDA Church Allah. This seems to be of great concern to the members of Pioneer Memorial, scholars and preachers alike. Allah of the Qur'an says emphatically that he has no son. God of the Bible says emphatically that he has a son. Which one is lying? Quote grw
olger Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I believe that Nelson made a very misleading and incorrect statement. I can't say why he did it. G Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

Dr. Waite Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Do we worship the same "god" as the Jews? Good question. Was Jesus a Jew? Did Jesus worship the same "god" as conference or corporate SDAs worship? Did Jesus worship a "god" that is a unity of three co-eternal "gods" i.e. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit?? Quote grw
Umfundize Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Dr Waite: Very good answer! Jesus was indeed a MONOTHEIST, Who believed, like many SDA pioneers, that the God-family consists of TWO DIVINE beings: God the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. THIS belief was confirmed by Jesus Himself in John 17:3. The Holy Spirit is the OMNIPRESENCE and power of the Father and Son, and NOT a real person you can take a picture of or visit somewhere in the world. See Adventist Alternative, Chapter 2, for the BIBLICAL model. Quote

monty Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Perhaps he does, I can't answer for Dwight Nelson. It has been my observation that in using the three Names during baptism from an authority figure such as an "ordained" person you place the three in the same catagory. This I have also noticed in sermons. In the way the Holy Spirits name is used it is as if He is a third person albeit with omnipresence power. This has added influence since the one being baptised is new to the faith and unstudied, perhaps with family present who do not understand the differance among the Three. And so the misunderstanding is perpetuated and continues. Quote
