Alchemy Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Does the Heavenly Sanctuary have two apartments? Revelation 11:1-2 tells us the courtyard is left to the Gentiles. Well, that is the human race here on earth. When we accept and follow Christ, we then become a spiritual Jew. (Gal. 3:28-29) But, what about the actual Sanctuary? Does it have exactly two apartments or not? Quote Luke 12:32 NKJV

No, not two apartments but ONE.... ...Which was separated by a veil in the earthly. ...One that was RENT - Jesus entered ONCE for all. ...And absolutely nothing stood in His way. Quote
Gibs Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: It was a copy of the True in Heaven that God had Moses build. Now what EGW saw and I do believe her and Paul above, " I saw an angel flying swiftly to me. He quickly carried me from the earth to the holy city. In the city I saw a temple, which I entered. I passed through a door before I came to the first veil. This veil was raised, and I passed into the holy place. Here I saw the altar of incense, the candlestick with seven lamps, and the table on which was the showbread. After viewing the glory of the holy, Jesus raised the second veil, and I passed into the holy of holies. {CET 91.2} In the holiest I saw an ark; on the top and sides of it was purest gold. On each end of the ark was a lovely cherub, with its wings spread out over it. Their faces were turned toward each other, and they looked downward. Between the angels was a golden censer. Above the ark, where the angels stood, was an exceeding bright glory, that appeared like a throne where God dwelt. Jesus stood by the ark, and as the saints' prayers came up to Him, the incense in the censer would smoke, and He would offer up their prayers with the smoke of the incense to His Father. {CET 91.3} In the ark was the golden pot of manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of stone, which folded together like a book. Jesus opened them, and I saw the ten commandments written on them with the finger of God. On one table were four, and on the other six. The four on the first table shone brighter than the other six. But the fourth, the Sabbath commandment, shone above them all; for the Sabbath was set apart to be kept in honor of God's holy name. The holy Sabbath looked glorious--a halo of glory was all around it. I saw that the Sabbath commandment was not nailed to the cross. If it was, the other nine commandments were; and we are at liberty to break them all, as well as to break the fourth. I saw that God had not changed the Sabbath, for He never changes. But the pope had changed it from the seventh to the first day of the week; for he was to change times and laws. {CET 91.4} Is it done away with now or ever, I don't think so. Don't you suppose there is always to be worship in the outer court. Does there have to be sin for it to exist? Was it not there before sin? 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
Gibs Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I find the veil of the temple was rent by God on his departure from it to show that their house was left unto them desolate. All eyes now could see in the place for Him to dwell and were not to when He was present. EGW says Jesus raised the second veil in Heaven to show her of the Most Holy. If we have any doubts now, well one day we'll know for sure. His Blessings I pray to all. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
12tribes Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 No, not two apartments but ONE.... ...Which was separated by a veil in the earthly. ...One that was RENT - Jesus entered ONCE for all. ...And absolutely nothing stood in His way. The earthly Vail was rent showing that the earthly had come to an end. The sanctuary before it was used was dedicated and they went into the most holy place at the time. After that they only went into the most holy place once a year. Quote Galatians 3:29(29) And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Alchemy Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 The earthly sanctuary was a pattern of the Heavenly. Paul in Hebrews 9:1-7 establishes that twice in these seven verses. So, there isn't any reason to believe there is only one veil in the Heavenly Sanctuary. Paul even uses the term "second veil" in Hebrews 9:3. It is Biblically clear from the pattern developed by God for centuries in the earthly sanctuary and the current teaching of Paul in the Book of Hebrews that the Heavenly Sanctuary has two apartments and that Christ entered the first apartment, or Holy Place first before entering the second apartment or Most Holy Place. Quote Luke 12:32 NKJV
Gibs Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 It is the main pillar of the Adventist faith. " Preaching the Sanctuary Doctrine Endorsed by Holy Spirit.--For more than half a century the different points of present truth have been questioned and opposed. New theories have been advanced as truth, which were not truth, and the Spirit of God revealed their error. As the great pillars of our faith have been presented, the Holy Spirit has borne witness to them, and especially is this so regarding the truths of the sanctuary question. Over and over again the Holy Spirit has in a marked manner endorsed the preaching of this doctrine. But today, as in the past, some will be led to form new theories and to deny the truths upon which the Spirit of God has placed His approval."--Manuscript 125, 1907. {Ev 224.2} Jesus did go into the Holy place after his stay here into the Heavenly Sanctuary to minister and then as prophecied into the Most Holy place to cleanse it of all the cases since and including Adam. His ministry there is coming to a close and soon He will say it is finished and the end will be of this sin business. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
