Woody Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 There is really no need to know why to pray for someone. Just the name would do the job. Perhaps there should be a list of people who need our help. LIke a grab box. But prayer is not going to help feed the poor. Only if we recognize the need and DO something. All the prayers in the world will not help unless it causes US to DO something. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

LifeHiscost Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 It seems to me that the one who is bringing up the person/s in prayer, if he/she is led of the Holy Spirit, will know when or if it is necessary to broadcast the circumstances thought to be important, for which to pray. As an example I know some folks who aren't in prison and are intimately connected to someone inside of prison, in which others are acquainted probably even more than myself. I openly pray for both at prayer meeting and find it unnecessary to bring up details beyond their deep need at present. There seems no doubt to me that specifics are best left to those who we might feel need the prayer since only God and they know their heart. I find most people are grateful to hear someone is concerned about them enough to pray for them. God blesses! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
