JoeMo Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 A truly converted heart and a passionate love for the Lord is required to finish the work. When we have that, we witness all day long, every day, without even realizing it! I compare it being contagious with an infectious blessing - you bless people unconsciously without even realizing it! We we overflow with the Holy Spirit and love for Jesus, we "leak" all over other people. When enough people are blessed with this condition, true believers will reach "critical mass" and start a chain reaction. I also believe that the latter rain is in progress now; and the Spirit is working directly with non-believers to introduce Jesus ans His Kingdom. I have heard missionaries tell stories of people who have dreamed of Jesus and/or the missionary upon their first meeting with people who have never heard of jesus before. Good or bad, persecution will also help finish the work. Where persecution is the most intense (e.g., China, India, North Africa) is where Christianity is growing the fastest. Quote

Check out JoeMo's post, I agree and very much. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Moderators lazarus Posted October 4, 2012 Moderators Posted October 4, 2012 We can't agree in the NAD on what the "work" looks like. We are not going to finish the work. Nich Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 I also believe that the latter rain is in progress now; I believe that the latter rain will begin about the time of the NSL. What you may be referring to as the latter rain, could be the former rain. Pls read about this here http://dedication.www3.50megs.com/1888/white_latter_rain1.html Quote Trust and obey, Happy in Jesus

Administrators Naomi Posted November 3, 2012 Administrators Posted November 3, 2012 passion... Agreed 100% If we have passion we will walk-the-walk, talk-the-talk, and allow the Holy Spirit to work through us. God's work will be finished ... even if we aren't even sure what the work is :) Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God

Disagree with this humility as the "only essential" as it keeps us looking to ourselves. We have so much counsel forbidding the looking to ourselves for ANYTHING... ..where we need to focus on Jesus.., ....If there is only ONE essential, it is to look to our Savior and lift Him up...because if we lift Him up, ALL men will be drawn to Him.....even as we lift Him up....
