'I Need A New President'

1:29 PM, Oct 10, 2012 • By JOHN MCCORMACK

ABC's Emily Friedman reports:

Jane Horton began crying on the other end of the phone when she learned that Mitt Romney had been using the story of her husband, Chris Horton, who was killed in Afghanistan, as a part of his stump speech.

"Wow," the 26-year-old said. "I had no idea.

"To be honest, I've been through a lot and I'm not a super emotional person but it brings me to tears," Horton said in an interview with ABC News, after being informed of her husband's newfound spot on the national stage. "Not that he's telling my story, but that he's telling my husband's story, it means the world to me.

"One of the last things my husband said to me before he was killed, when I would ask him, 'Chris, what do you need over there? What can I send you?' he said, 'I need a new president,'" Horton recalled.

Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.

Oh please! Romney would have made him do two more tours and then the next stop would be Tehran.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

Reminds me of the "New boss same as the old boss"

The main theme of that song, pk, was "won't get fooled again."

Sadly though history tells us that the average person keeps buying the same old line over and over again.

Even when it's not the same person feeding them the line...

The most disappoint thing about Obama has been his foreign policy. He's the same as Bush. Romney will be the same as Obama. More people will die for oil. Same old story but folks think their man will be different.

So Afghanistan is a oil producing country?

What most soldiers seem to have against Obama is the admin tying their hands in battle, dragging Bin-Laden thru the verbal streets time and time again, naming Seal 6 which they don't believe should ever been acknowledged, situations like the Libya bombing. The increase in violence since the timeline for leaving was broadcast.

Bin-Laden/Al-Quada should have been the target from the beginning and then get out.

Whether we should be there or not I will listen to those friends and family that have been there for a couple of tours
