Moderators lazarus Posted October 18, 2012 Moderators Posted October 18, 2012 I'm thinking that the place that is referred to as heaven is a planet. Members phkrause Posted October 18, 2012 Members Posted October 18, 2012 Interesting, I don't. For me, I believe its all of the universe. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
BobRyan Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Roger Morneau stated that he was told about "God's planet in the center of the Galaxies" when in that satanist cult. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." Moderators Bravus Posted October 20, 2012 Moderators Posted October 20, 2012 I suspect it's not, but don't really have anything Biblical with which to back up that impression. The fact that if it was to be heaven for us the planet would need to be a similar size to earth (in order to have the level of gravity that we're designed for and can handle), combined with the fact that the Holy City is described as a cube 2000 km on a side (that is, almost a third the radius of the earth) makes it seem improbable. Of course, God can tweak all those variables to his heart's content, but I'm not sure he'd need to. I see heaven as 'more than physical'... probably with different physical laws compared to this universe. Quote Truth is important
Members abelisle Posted October 20, 2012 Members Posted October 20, 2012 Have you been reading the "Urantia Book"? Quote We are our worst enemy - sad but true. http://abelisle.blogspot.com
TJ Sands Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 This is a question that I feel we may have to wait for the answer until we arrive in Heaven! Quote www.youtube.com/AskTJSands
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted October 21, 2012 Administrators Posted October 21, 2012 In dramatic cosmic symbolism the account of the final chapters of Revelation show heaven and earth coming together so that for the rest of the ages the dwelling place of God is indeed a planet. He returns to earth to make his home with mankind. Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is here among you. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. M. T. Cross Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I was thinking Urantia Book as well. Quote
Ellen Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I often think of this question and DO believe it is a great planet. Speaking of gravity, the righteous WILL have to be changed a whole lot to get off this planet anyway. Quote

Administrators debbym Posted January 25, 2013 Administrators Posted January 25, 2013 i have suspected for sometime, it is a place in another dimension. i don't think it is very far away in inter-spatial dimensional travel. the angels are there and here in a flash, God can send hosts of angels to us in a flash, but then since he can see the future as clearly as today ....he could send them in advance with the perfect timing to always arrive just at the right time. all of our planets in this solar system could be heavily inhabited, but if they are angel like forms we could not possibly perceive them. debjm Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
Woody Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Ellen White speaks of all of heaven watching the results of the controversy between Christ and Satan. I also believe she refers to the angels being on different planets or certainly not all at the same place. So if she is talking about all of heaven including different planets - I would think that there would be a number of planets for us to live on. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Restin Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Woody and Debjm, your descriptions sound a lot like what I've been studying in Quantum Mechanics (trying to study it, that is). Also, I rather like the descriptions of heaven in the children's book, "Cousin Henry Potter, and the terrible time machine." Quote
Ted Oplinger Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 [EGW] also speaks of races of unfalllen beings with their own Trees of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Since man fell first, the rest are supposedly watching the sin conflict unfold and resolve. All of this, though, the Scriptures themselves are silent on. I do know, however, Paul writes we are a spectacle before angels and men - in more ways than one. Angels in heaven are a given...but people in heaven (outside the usual "die-go to heaven paradigm" so many get suckered into) is something most people don't think of. Yet. Enoch, Elijah, and Moses are clearly there, with living, breathing, glorified bodies, serving the Living God. Matthew speaks of many Old Testament saints resurrected along with Christ (Matt. 27:52, 53). While Scripture does not explicitly say these ascended with Christ into heaven...what are all the saints going to do if left here to live an earthly life again, with familiar friends and family long dead, living life outside their time reference? It is reasonable to concur with Ellen these also ascended with Christ into heaven, as Jude alludes to them in Enoch's prophecy concerning the Second Coming (Jude 14). It all makes me be thankful that, while the faithful don't have the majority perspective here on earth, this tiny, nearly insignificant planet (astronomically speaking) is the only place where rebellion against God can be found...and they all hold a deep interest in things happening here. Blessings, Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J. Waggoner, The Glad Tidings "Courage is being scared to death - and saddling up anyway" - John Wayne "The person who pays an ounce of principle for a pound of popularity gets badly cheated" - Ronald Reagan
Administrators debbym Posted February 16, 2013 Administrators Posted February 16, 2013 They could easily be watching from another dimension. And see everything. Adam and Eve had face to face conversation with God, and could see and discuss matters with angels. I believe we used to live additionally in that dimension being covered with light for clothing. Light has unusual properties and could be folded and draped. God stretched out the heavens as a curtain, hanging the fabric of space, dark matter, dark energy and light. we will one day learn about all of these things. deb Quote deb Love awakens love. Let God be true and every man a liar.
